Where do I even start 🤯

September was a month of two halves. One full of anguish, hurt, loss, but also excitement and optimism. I nearly drowned in all these intense emotions and feelings that I’m really not used to experiencing.

It hasn’t been easy in the slightest, and I honestly haven’t been doing as well as I’d hoped. But some people - not just in these photos - were there when it mattered. They reached out, grabbed my hand and pulled me from that ocean.

Despite everything, I’m grateful. This month taught me lots and introduced many wonderful new faces. But most of all, it brought invaluable friends who helped me stay above the surface. Thank you.

As for the unoriginal song choice, it was either this or Don’t Look Back in Anger. I don’t care by @jordmarkham

So, I did a thing… 🇩🇪

With Spa hitting in excess of 37°C on race day and the Nürburgring only about 90 minutes away, this felt like too good of an opportunity to miss.

Only problem was that, as I pulled up to the TF ticket booth, it started pissing it down. Fifteen minutes of heavy rain had me seriously considering not risking it. But after driving all that way, I knew I’d regret not at least giving it a go.

I bought two laps with a plan: treat the first as a sighting lap, stay off the rubbered-in dry line where possible, and decide afterwards whether the second was worth attempting.

The Green Hell wasted no time in freaking me out. A bit of sideways action through Hatzenbach on the damp, greasy tarmac and semi-slick tyres was enough to keep me humble.

By the time I finished the first lap, the circuit was beginning to dry, so I went out again. The second lap was everything I’d hoped for - the MX-5 never missed a beat, I stayed well within my limits and it was quiet, too, so I had an absolute blast.

I’ll definitely be back for another crack at the Nordschleife. Hopefully next time, the weather’s more forgiving hahahaha

Well, that’s a wrap! Another #Spa24H, but this time a record-breaking weekend in more ways than one - temperature, attendance and a mega climb from Porsche to win from the Pit Lane.

The extreme heat made it tough to get around, but despite spending less time at the circuit than last year, it was still an unforgettable weekend.

I finally ticked a few things off the bucket list, including driving my own car on the continent (the Nürburgring deserves a post of its own).

But most importantly, I got to experience it all with the best company.
