First solo with @koeniggalerie and it’s been a blast. Lovely staff, beautiful space, very cool city. Thanks to all who have shared pictures and have taken the time to have a look - so very much appreciated. Behind the scenes of the installation process for Jordy Kerwick’s (@jordykerwick) and Arghavan Khosravi’s (@arghavan_khosravi) exhibitions THIS TIME TOMORROW and THE SHAPE OF ABSENCE, opening this Thursday, 16 July at 6 PM at KÖNIG GALERIE. In the Vault of St. Agnes, Kerwick presents a new body of paintings that transforms familiar motifs and fleeting impressions into vivid fables, where domestic scenes, dream images, and allegory converge to blur the boundaries between the everyday and the mythical. In the Chapel of St. Agnes, Khosravi’s second exhibition with the gallery continues her exploration of the position of women at the intersection of oppression, tradition, authoritarian power, resistance, and hope. Jordy Kerwick is a self-taught Australian artist whose practice has gained international recognition for its instinctive approach to painting and distinctive visual language. Working across painting and sculpture, Kerwick creates works that combine expressive mark-making, symbolism and personal mythology. Balancing humour, spontaneity and emotional depth, his compositions invite multiple interpretations while remaining rooted in everyday observation and experience. Since beginning his painting practice in 2016, Kerwick has established an international exhibition profile, with works exhibited across Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. His work is held in major institutional collections, including the Museo Reina Sofía and ICA Miami. Jordy Kerwick is showing with Patricia Low Contemporary (Booth B5) at CAN Art Fair Ibiza 2026 this week. KÖNIG GALERIE (@koeniggalerie) is pleased to present THIS TIME TOMORROW by Australian-born, France-based artist Jordy Kerwick (@jordykerwick) in the Vault of St. Agnes. The exhibition takes its title from the 1970 song by The Kinks. The refrain, “This time tomorrow, where will we be?”, expresses uncertainty about a future that feels imminent yet unclear. Kerwick’s new works turn to small details of everyday life as anchors within this uncertainty: vivid greens from nearby parks, magenta, vermilion, and mauve wildflowers, and the steady sound of a fountain that only runs in the warmer months. These familiar encounters accumulate into vibrant tableaux where the everyday unfolds alongside the mythical, the remembered, and the imagined. We look forward to welcoming you at the opening! Huge congrats to one of my favourite musicians @joshpyke whose album, “Kingdom Within” is released today. Incredibly humbled and proud to have paid a small role in the album cover. Josh’s music has played an enormous role in my little family’s life - from early days going out with @cesmccully to the birth of our sons, helping us find our feet in France and everything in between. Music plays a huge part of our family unit, and Josh’s music in particular has been front and center for it all. The album is, as to be expected, amazing so please give it a listen 🍻 by @jordykerwick
