Living with the deep rooted belief that I’m not good enough and that I’m hard to understand has been exhausting. And as a recovering people pleaser, it’s really hard to not let others voices be louder than your own.

Forever learning self-love and acceptance and putting it into practice 💕

I know it’s October now but I’ve been sitting on this all September for #suicidepreventionmonth and struggled to find the words on what to share. Luckily I have the help of Steven Universe to convey how I’ve been feeling inside.
.
“How do I move on from all the stuff I’ve been through? How do I live life if it always feels like I’m about to die?”
.
I am thankful for my friends, family and communities for being in my life because you have no idea how you have impacted it for the better 💕 I love you

Anyone who knows me understands my infinite love for marching band 🎺 when I was a teen, going to school and playing in Marching Band was one of the things that kept me going all 4 years and gave me a reason to see through to the next day. For my fellow SHS band mates who will never forget the quote “Marching Band saved my life”, it was a truth for me as it was for many of us. I wouldn’t have gotten through high school without it.
.
.
16 years later I never thought I would march again but here I am in the Queer Big Apple Corps Band playing my trumpet and smiling just as big as I did in high school. Building community and making new friends 💜
.
@queerbigapplecorps is a non-profit community band, and we could use your support in helping us stay funded so we can provide this experience to all queer and allied musicians. Each member is tasked to raise at least $200 (the more the merrier !) towards our cause! Link to my donation page is in my bio!

Thank you so much in advance! HAPPY PRIDE!! by @jordynisms

Yesterday was the last game of the season for @basl_softball! While we may not have won the playoffs, we won as a team through our resilience, chemistry, and love for one another ❤️‍🔥

I played softball for 10 years growing up and I never felt more welcomed, seen, accepted, and loved until I joined The Royals. This team healed a part of me that I never thought I would get back. I’m excited to continue to bond this year and play together again next season. LET’S GO ROYALS 👑👑👑👑👑 @nycroyalssoftball

In true Capricorn fashion, I’m already making my game plan to buy a place in the next few years…😅…but I’ll take my friends’ + therapist’s advice and enjoy this milestone for now🔑 🏢 by @jordynisms

It’s been almost a month since I came back from Greece and it still doesn’t feel real.
.
.
I was in a very stressed, unhappy, and miserable place in my life when I booked this trip back in April. Nothing has been more healing than taking a spontaneous trip with people you’ve never met (and therapy of course lol). I hiked an active volcano, swam in the clearest waters, danced with the locals, jumped off a boat, created genuine friendships, danced on a bar, viewed breathtaking sights and collected beautiful candids of a version of me that I’ve missed for a while 💕
.
More photo dumps to come!
