Here it is, the trailer for "Summer Brother" (Zomervacht).

It will be the closing film at the @Nederlandsfilmfestival and will be in cinemas from October 19th.

I am incredibly proud of all the crew members who put in so much hard work on this film. I pushed my actors to their limits, and their performances and courage make me very proud.

Summer Brother is a film that delves into disabilities, differences, and prejudices. But above all, it's a story about affection, hope, and courage. It follows the journey of two young brothers from whom we can all glean valuable lessons. I truly hope that everyone will take the time to experience this film.

Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

☢️ THE RADIATION IS SPREADING ☢️

Nuclear Boy is heading to three new countries. And honestly, we are a little overwhelmed by how far this little indie film is traveling. ☢️❤️

🇺🇸 HEARTLAND FILM FESTIVAL

We’re super happy and a little overwhelmed that Nuclear Boy has been selected for the prestigious oscar Qualifying @heartlandfilm Festival! It’s the film’s fourth festival selection in the US and it will screen three times in Indianapolis. ☢️

🇩🇪 SCHLiNGEL FILM FESTIVAL

And then Germany! Nuclear Boy will have its German Premiere in the Panorama section at @schlingel_filmfestival in Chemnitz, with two screenings. 🇩🇪

🇸🇮 KINOTRIP – LJUBLJANA

And then Slovenia! Nuclear Boy is one of just six feature films selected for this year’s @kinotrip International Film Festival. The Slovenian Premiere will take place at Kinodvor on Friday October 16 at 18:00, followed by an online Q&A with lead actor Guus Blanken. 🇸🇮

Director Joren Molter won’t be able to make it to all three festivals himself, unfortunately, so we're just hoping someone remembers to turn the reactor off.

Nuclear Boy has been officially selected for the @cinekidfestival !

The film will be screening in two competitions: the Best Dutch Children’s Film Competition and the Youth Jury Competition. Which means Nuclear Boy is in the running for three Cinekid Lions. 🦁

Can't wait to bring the film back home show it at one of the world’s leading film festivals for children.

Huge thanks to the incredible cast and crew who made this radioactive tragicomedy possible. 🤍

Had the honor of being part of this year’s jury at @filmbythesea, alongside actress Renée Soutendijk, writer Bart Chabot (@bart_yolanda_chabot ), graphic novelist @milanhulsing and writer @sholeh_rezazadeh .

We watched eight feature films, all based on novels, and it was a real pleasure to spend these days together. We will announcing the winner of the jury prize at the closing ceremony next Saturday.

I was also happy to screen Nuclear Boy in the Meet the Jury selection at the festival.

A big thank you to @jandoense and the entire Film by the Sea team for making this such a wonderful experience. And thanks to my fellow jurors for the great company. ❤️

A while ago, I had the pleasure of heading to the USA for @flickers.riiff, a BAFTA Qualifying Festival where Nuclear Boy was selected.

I had a great week filled with interviews, meeting fellow filmmakers, and I had the honor of speaking on the ScriptBiz panel together with the amazing @alannalongo & @graceeitrheim, talking about writing, filmmaking and getting things made.

And the best part: Nuclear Boy won the First Prize for Best Feature. 🏆

A huge thank you to everyone at @flickers.riiff And to the amazing cast and crew of Nuclear Boy: without you, none of this would have been possible. ❤️

Joren was never really gone, just very busy making ‘Nuclear Boy’, following his acclaimed debut ‘Summer Brother’. Now he’s back, ready to bring that same distinct vision to commercial work.

We sat down with @jorenmolter for our newsletter, about what’s been keeping him busy, what’s been inspiring him, and what he wants to make next.
