Clasificado a los Juegos Olímpicos de Paris 2024! Lo logramos!!! 🇫🇷 🇲🇽

Fue verdaderamente increible el poder lograr mi clasificacion en Mexico acompañado de mi familia y sentir el apoyo y calor de los nadadores mexicanos y de Centroamérica, se los agradezco. Fue una competencia y un evento muy especial el cual recordare el resto de mi vida
.
Toda mi vida he soñado con este momento y hoy es una realidad. El pequeño Jorge Iga que soño y dibujaba los aros Olimpicos en las portadas de las libretas desde los 6 años va a estar en #paris2024
.
A mi familia @joseigasabag @joseiga @mauigacesar @anacarolinaic @marianarquin @lucianad , les agradezco por creer en mi, levantarme en mis momentos mas vulnerables, y por su apoyo incondicional. Juegos Panamericanos Santiago 2023

Medallista de Plata Panamericano en 200 metros libre. Afortunado de poder representar a México y de poder vivir estos momentos con este gran equipo

Estoy mas consiente que nunca de que estoy viviendo mi sueño y que no hay nada como disfrutar el presente!

What a morning at the NVSL All Star Relays 🏊‍♂️

USA Olympic Gold Medalist @paigemadden1 and STJ Head Coach and Olympian @jorgeiga spent the morning with the future swimming champions of Virginia. Olympic medals, Pan American Games medals, and one simple message — we started swimming where you are. Dream big🏅

A special thank you to Paige for joining us and sharing her Olympic experience and her Olympic medal with the next generation. And to our very own @xaviergarcia2612 who showed up this morning to inspire the next generation of Virginia champions. Xavier is proof that the journey starts right here.

Today is Olympic Day. And I want to share what being an Olympian truly means to me.

Being an Olympian was never about swimming at the Olympic Games.

It is about following a dream and investing in yourself. Believing in yourself even when you have doubts. Not giving up even after failing many times. It is about training even when you don’t want to. Finding that extra lap, that extra opportunity. Taking every chance that moves you closer to your dream.

It is NOT the medals, but the ability to perform under pressure.
It is NOT the positive results, but the resilience and learning after a bad one.
It is about knowing where you were, where you are, and where you want to go, without getting lost in the past or in who you want to become. Acknowledging you won’t be at your best every day, and still giving your best every day.

And I want to honor something important: there are many Olympians who never got to walk on the Olympic stage. Athletes who trained with the same dedication, the same sacrifice, the same dream, and whose +1 never came. They are Olympians too. Because being an Olympian is about failing and trying again, learning what you need to improve, and knowing that you gave everything you had. It is about knowing that you attempted.

Without my +1, I would not have competed at the Olympic Games. But I was an Olympian before that moment, because I tried until the end, committed to my dream, and gave it my all one more time. Even when I doubted myself, I still stepped up and did it, because the regret of not trying carries a heavier weight than failing.

You need to be an Olympian to become an Olympian.

As a young boy Jorge had 2 dreams, become an Olympian and follow in his dad's footsteps. With a lot of hard work, passion and fun, he was able to accomplish both! 👏

Clasificado a mis terceros Juegos Centroamericanos!

Me llena de orgullo representar a Mexico una vez mas! Ahora comenzando oficialmente mi cuarto ciclo Olimpico como Seleccionado Nacional y rumbo a los Juegos Olímpicos de Los Angeles 2028.

Voy a buscar hacer historia en estos Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, en busca del record de medallas de oro que haya ganado un Mexicano (Hombre) en Juegos Centroamericanos, buscando completar un total de 15 medallas de oro!

Muy orgulloso de @alfredovc_ campeón mexicano en los 50 libres. He podido ver su camino de cerca y el trabajo que hay detrás de este resultado, y por eso tiene un significado especial

Hoy logra esto representando a Grupo Mexico @gmexico_oficial y a la Universidad de Arizona. A través del programa de alto rendimiento de Grupo México, en el que llevo más de cuatro años trabajando, fue que pudimos conocer a Alfredo y acompañar su proceso de crecimiento. Ese impulso y seguimiento hoy también se reflejan en este resultado: un campeón nacional que nace de esta iniciativa

Además, como parte de ese mismo proceso, hoy Alfredo está becado en la Universidad de Arizona @arizonaswimdive , algo que a mí me llena especialmente de orgullo porque fue el mismo camino que yo tomé hace casi 10 años

Esta vez me tocó ser segundo lugar, pero no podría estar más orgulloso de quién está en el primer puesto. Sé que esto es solo el comienzo de todo lo que viene para él
