Jorge Padilla

Jorge Padilla for RUIDO SOUND

Born in Cartagena and based in Madrid, Jorge began his musical career in London after the pandemic, with clubs still closed and in a context where the electronic music scene was operating as a space for cultural recomposition. This experience shaped his understanding of music not only as an artistic practice, but also as a historical and social phenomenon.

He is a co-founder and resident of Cucaña, a collective from Murcia that originated on the Mediterranean coast (Cabo de Palos) and from which he promotes an interpretation of electronic music linked to context, community, and memory.

beginnings are space for steps of change. time for things that have never been.

we joined Jorge Padilla to walk together an intimate journey. in the verge of darkness and light, organic textures draw the shapes of a fungal landscape.

sound found a place to breathe. organic, deep, enveloping, and warm.

rhythmic ambient and hypnotic patterns led to house, electro & minimal tech.

enjoy the journey 🍄‍🟫 by @jorgepadilla_7

“And somehow humans invented this trick —or whatever you might call it— of synchronizing the group activity and the movement of each individual to a common pulse. Repetitive, monotonous rhythms. So we are the dancing apes. Humans must dance.”

This saturday we’re celebrating the joy of beginning with some very special friends.
