I try to tap into the collective conscious and sing the truth I see. Stare into the Void and sing along with me.

Hey y’all, just wanted to come on here and say rest in peace to my GOAT Oliver Tree. He was a huge inspiration of what made me decide to start this Jory + The Void solo project and his music has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life. Oliver taught us that Ugly is Beautiful, he was a weird, funny and endlessly creative artist who wrote some of the best hooks ever put to music. I’m really grateful I got to see him twice in concert, and so sad I won’t get to see him again in August. I’m planning some kind of tribute cover video or livestream in the future, but I’m in the middle of moving right now, so that might be a ways away. Life goes on, miss you.

New little song idea for y’all, new music updates coming soon ❤️ by @joryandthevoid

Music and life update:
What’s up everyone, as you may have noticed, I have not announced my single release for this month. Due to a number of factors I’ve decided to postpone the release of my next single until next month. Truth of the matter is, the song is just not in a place that I’m happy with yet, although it’s definitely getting there. The good news is, that just means 2 Jory + The Void releases in April! If you’d like a sneak peak of my next single, there is actually a live version of it available on my YouTube channel that I uploaded for my tiny desk audition, so go check that out to hold you over! My current plan is to release the single “Pushed Away” on Friday April 11th and then another new single on Friday April 25th which I’m very excited about, no spoilers but it’s a collaboration with one of my favorite artists! So please look forward to that and thank you so much for reading and staying up to date with my music. In more personal news, I’ve recently started a new meditation to help with some of my mental health issues, and one of the side effects has been that it makes me incredibly tired, which I think is a huge part of the reason I’ve needed to delay this single. A huge part of this album is to try and make sense of and explain some of my experiences with depression and dissociation. (The void) At first I was feeling very frustrated that in an attempt to feel better, taking this medicine was preventing me from working in this project that’s so important to me, but I’m starting to realize that making this album and treating my depression are actually a part of the same process. To heal and to self actualize. The healing process, much like the creative process, takes time and cannot be forced. I have a vision for this project and for a healthier life, and if everyday I stick to that vision, and work towards it bit by bit, eventually everything will come together and that vision will be realized. Again thank you so much for your continued support and to anyone who took the time out of their day to read this. I love you all, remember to take care of yourselves ✌️💖 by @joryandthevoid

Feeling dismay about the dismal state of this dumpster-fire we call a government? Distract yourself today with a new catchy, upbeat single about my spiral into depression. 🎉 Jory + The Void, now streaming everywhere. Join me on my youtube channel at 6:00 P.M. EST for the live premier of my lyric video, all links are in my bio, hope to see you all there and we can watch it all burn down together.

On a serious note, things are seeming to get crazier and crazier everyday in this country, its important to take care of your mental health and reach out to people in your community, especially your friends who are LGBTQ+, undocumented, or any other group being marginalized and singled out by this administration. Seriously love you all and you are not alone. by @joryandthevoid

Y’all, I’ve had this single planned since before the internet 😂😂😂 Jory + The Void drops tomorrow wherever you listen to music, live lyric video premiere at 6:00pm EST on my YouTube channel, link in bio by @joryandthevoid

TLDR: My new single "Jory + The Void" is releasing this Friday everywhere you stream music!!! Live premier of the lyric video on my Youtube channel at 6:00p.m. EST. Links in bio!!!

This is my "self-titled" track that's meant to introduce the project and act as my theme song basically. I was definitely going for those Scooby-Doo/ Saturday morning cartoon vibes. I'm still getting a hang of the mixing and mastering side of things, really got down to the wire getting this one done on time, but thats just some of the fun that comes with writing, recording, and producing an entire album all on your own 😅. It's a lot of work, but I'm really happy with how the project is going so far and I'm excited to see what it becomes as it continues to take shape.

I really appreciate anyone taking time out of their day to go and listen to my music, I've been working on this project for the better part of 5 years now and its so freaking exciting to finally get to share it with all of you! If you enjoy the music, consider dropping a subscribe to my youtube channel, I've got lots of content planned for there, including a music video for this song which may or may not involve puppets! Also lyric videos, live performances and behind the scenes studio vids all coming soon!

Anywho, I'm gonna go to bed, and I'll see you guys tomorrow. by @joryandthevoid

My next single will be dropping Friday, February 28th, this one is actually an entire song, the title track in fact. So excited for y'all to hear what I've been working on. More updates coming soon! by @joryandthevoid
