It's been a long hard ride but I did it.. Class I bachelor of science with honours in speech and language therapy.

It's hard to know what to say and what to share about my journey. Those who know me well know that it's been quite a bumpy ride getting here. I have had my mind set on being an SLT for as long as I can remember and there are many times that I thought it was never going to happen for me.

As a child I was never really expected to succeed, i wasn't expected to take exams, let alone pass them. Certain teachers neglected to provide me with the education I deserved just because I was different and needed extra support.

As a teen, I recall crying and begging staff to take me out of lessons because I couldn't cope.
As a teen an young adult I was called all the names under the sun - "stupid", "a fucking idiot" and much worse. For a period of my life I was known by a group of
"friends" as "dumbass". I remeber being told "people like you don't do a levels"..
During uni I gained a new hope but even then, things did not go smoothly..

But here we are, 4 years of uni later with a foundation degree in health science and a first in bsc speech and language therapy.

Though it was hard and at times it felt like the whole world was against me I, I did it.

A combination of my hard work and the unconditional supported offered by my dearest friends and family made this all possible. People such as my secondary school English teacher who stayed late on Fridays to become my mentor just to keep me in school, my advisor at college who checked in on me when things got really tough, certain other staff throughout my education journey who just sat and gave me time to talk - I couldn't have done it without you.

What a a special night. Getting to stare muse with some of the most incredible people what amazing. We had our own room thing which was insane meaning I had all the space I wanted to go crazy and I had the best time.

Matt also waved AT me during starlight which made my life complete taken in The O2 by @joscontagion

We have never been so fucking back

What an amazing tour I have loved every second of this past week. A week of reminiscing, feeling proud and feeling at home in random cities around England.

These gigs will be up there with some of my favourites of all time. Both @asitisofficial and @artiomusic fucking rocked 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Crying to dial tones was definitely not on my bingo card for this week but I was thoroughly overwhelmed with a feeling of belonging and pure happiness.

There is absolutely nowhere I would rather be than a gig.
