Todo o que é bom tem um fim. Passado tanto tempo, tive oportunidade de presenciar momentos inesquecíveis com a minha família, e apresentar Luanda a little Leño. A coisas que nunca mudam, e algo que sou eternamente grato, é de ter o privilégio de ter pessoas tão lindas e tão boas a minha volta.

Season 2 of boxing, and I’m extremely thankful to everyone involved in my development as a fighter and as a man. I’m incredibly proud to be part of this amazing team and fortunate to be surrounded by some of the strongest and most respectful men and women I know.

So many lessons learned this season, many setbacks that only made me a better and stronger being.

So gotta thank my coaches, my teammates, and everyone involved in making this club feel like home, and of course, little Leño for being so patient!

Grateful for you all!

God willing, same time next season.

Blessed to be celebrating another year.

The older I get, the more I think about the importance of gratitude and understanding how “rich” I truly am. I’m healthy asf (like… asf). I have a healthy, loving, supportive partner, healthy parents and siblings who I’m super close with, and friends who are truly one of a kind. I’m surrounded by strong, loving people.

Life has been smiling at me, and it’s crazy how easy these things can be taken for granted. But I think reminding myself of how fortunate I am to have all of this adds the human touch that I think the world is lacking today.

Empathy has been at the top of my list these past few years. The older I get, the more peaceful things feel in my head, even with all the noise outside. I’ve learned how beautiful it is to cry from happiness, how refreshing it is to scream when things get hard, and most importantly, to go through things not around them.

I’ve been trying to spread the same message these past few years.
Look in the mirror and smile at yourself. Only you know the battles you fight daily. Be kind to yourself, be kind to others, and be empathetic.

You are exactly who you choose to be.

Most people won’t believe me, but being a good human being is actually harder than being a prick. And if someone chooses to be a prick, that says a lot about who they are as a person. And honestly, that’s okay too lol, it just makes it easier to leave them by the curve.

My goal has never been to be better than anyone else or to be perceived that way. My goal is simply to become as human as I possibly can be and what a journey it has been.

With that being said:
Be strong. Be courageous. Be delusional. Be curious. Take risks. Love hard. BE KIND!!

What matters most is where you finish, not where you start.

You all are dope asf.

I’m officially the last Manuel from the batch, since all my sisters are now married.

Watching my sisters find their partners reminds me how lucky we all are… and how lucky those guys truly are to have landed women like my amazing sisters.

To my former girlfriend, and now fiancé,

I want to start by recognising how far we’ve come together, and how much more there is ahead of us. Choosing to spend my life with you was never a difficult decision, it felt just right and certain from the very beginning.

You complement me in ways I never knew I needed, you challenge me to grow, and above all, you make me happier than ever.

Being with you is one of my greatest accomplishments and I’m very fortunate to now call you my fiancé.
