Infinite Void it's something we didn't know we set out to do in 2017/2018. with songs like Lemongrab and 'Picture perfect' that stuck around for so long, we weren't sure they still belonged with the same batch of songs. let's not forget Ryn which originally was "too heavy" for us. with around 15 song ideas in total, we started meeting up to finish each and every song. at some point we decided: let's stop demoing and just start recording. we can just resolve any unfinished business during tracking Imao. well, it turned out that 13 of the 15 ideas stuck around, and we had an album on our hands. this album features contributions from ever member. so while some of the instrumentals are written almost entirely by me, NONE of this would be possible without the help of my bandmates writing and production. to mention a few, Ryn and What If I Fall originated from drum grooves that Ryan brought to practice one day. Catastrophe (a personal favorite of mine) was originally Santinos 'Dark Tapping' song, and Swear Words and Every Day The Sky Falls are Sierra's songs. not gonna lie, I am kind of scared putting out this body of work out into the world. it's weird, but when I write instrumentals, I'm kind of channeling emotions into the music. so when Sierra then interprets the music and puts words to it, you (the listener!) then interpret it again and it becomes this huge meaningful thing! I guess what I'm trying to say is, music (and art in general) is constantly being pulled from your grasp. but that's okay! let your art be out in the world. let it fill the void 🌀✨ lol I hope you guys enjoy the album by @josefxmark

Our new single "Another Glance" will be yours at midnight on Wednesday, September 9th. This song is the story of us and honors everything that we went through as a band then and now. This year also marks 10 years that With Sails Ahead has been playing together as a band. Before my bandmates, it took me 2 years to fill the line-up. Now here we are.   We'll be chatting on IG Live tomorrow night at 8 pm about the release. 2017 Over the course of 2016 and 2017 we had become friends with two bands @idreamtthesea and Funeral Attire, who I genuinely loved as a fan before they reached out. We have played so many of our favorite shows with them. Getting invited up to sing "Flowers" with Funeral Attire is still a highlight for me Twice has @loumuzyka saved our asses by hosting shows for us and both times were so fun I don't know what came over me I would always order a Crave Crate for the whole show lmao Joe playing a jingle I no longer recognize at practice Opening for Stolas, Mylets and Icarus the Owl at The Voltage Lounge Practicing for recording Morning Sun Recording demos at Joe and their dad's old house 🤪 Recording Morning Sun at @backroom_studio Guitar recording day at @backroom_studio We used to cover this song sooooo often. I'll be honest, probably one of the only performances in my entire life that I felt really good about. Felt zero throat tension I miss these days 😔 @joeemptysea and @theshindy_500 jamming a Periphery song that I cannot remember the name of to save my life Morning Sun EP release show 📷: fawnoverco WSA/@destinationdimension summer tour kick off at AP Brewery's original location 📷: @julie.why Roaming Charleston with @destinationdimension after our show ended early This tour was so significant to us because we were finally playing Florida for the first time. We played Gainsville at the High Dive. At the time, it was the furthest from home any of us had ever been to play music. Our first Nashville show ever at the Springwater Supper Club 📷: @julie.why We had just played the Smiling Moose and learned that we had to drive 5 hours to get to our crash spot (last minute change, shoutout to Jorge for saving our asses). The nearby coffee shop was miraculously still open for another 10 minutes, so we went there to caffeinate 🙂‍↕️ Ugh we used to do Halloween costumes every year haha. This is us dressed as Smash characters. Joe and I are not dressed as our mains, for the record The Halloween show we threw was actually @pulsesva first out-of-state show ever 🥹 I just wanted to bring them to Jersey really badly. We actually played EJ's in Seaside a couple times, I liked this venue a lot Goofing off in one of our old practice spaces. I wish this one worked out Idk why I can't find any photos from this but we did a weekender with @havenstate, I'm actually scared that I'm getting the year wrong lmao but it was a super fun couple of shows with our friends Opening for Royal Coda, Andrés and Sunsleep at Voltage Lounge 📷: millershoots photography That Voltage Lounge show was actually a really good one for us 🥹 I got to talk to Kurt after the show, too. Insane Good Noise Fest 2021 ‼️ @goodnoisepodcast Our first hot sauce ever with @sauce_for_thought 🥹 a career highlight tbh, we don't take for granted being able to make our own hot sauces for a second 🫶 the ONLY WC split, ever. there were only 25 copies and it sold out in 5 minutes @antiquation.me did such an amazing job on these 💜 The time @joecapassonj came back to fill in on drums for us ‼️ Our death metal heads shredding 🙂‍↕️ Our first shows post-lockdown. Philly ended up being at The Fire. had to announce as a TBA because they stopped answering our emails for a hot minute lmao RIP old Chamber 43 Playing Brooklyn with @pulsesva Sometimes the best hangs aren't at the gig, they're at the bnb after 🙂‍↕️ Bnb had a rooftop it was sick (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠) Clip from filming our cover of Gurenge Made our return to HOI after a few years thanks to TOYF 🫶 The HOI gig was so awesome because there were so many friends there, and @antiquation.me and @makessenseva surprised us at the show 🥹🥹🥹 🥂 Annual WSA Christmas party 🎄 by @josefxmark
