All good things come to an end. And with that, my college career has come to an end as well.

It is hard to find the words to describe what this program means to me. Four years ago, I left home and came to the United States with a dream. Today, I leave with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

For the last four years, I had the honor of competing and studying at UMBC, the best four years of my life. Four years filled with unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships that became brotherhood, and experiences that shaped me into the person I am today.

I never imagined how difficult it would be to leave this country. I leave with my head held high, even though I know I did not finish my college career exactly the way I wanted to. But one thing I know, for sure is that gave 100% of myself.

Coach Davina, I can never thank you enough for being my number one supporter since day one. Thank you for giving me this opportunity and believing in me when nobody else did. You changed my life forever. Thank you for pushing me to become more competitive and, more importantly, helping me grow into a better man.

Coach Bobb, one of the coolest men on the planet, thank you for always having my back no matter what. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, and every moment.

To my throwers, you have been family to me for the last four years. The love and support you gave me are unmatched. You stood by my side through everything, and I could not have done any of this without you. I am forever grateful for you.

To my freshmen, you guys are real gangsters . Keep growing, keep developing, and keep pushing UMBC forward. I know this program is in great hands, and I will always be your number one supporter from far away.

To my friends, thank you for all the unforgettable memories. You made this journey special in ways I cannot put into words. No matter where life takes us, I know I will always have a home in America because of you and I can’t wait to see you in Cyprus. Sharing these years with you was one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Thank you, UMBC. I will be a Retriever forever. 🖤💛

Thank you, America. 🦅🇺🇸 by @joseph_discus
