werewolf has been out for a week and we have been howling at the moon in good form. i am so proud of this album, but more than anything i’m happy to be in this band — to have made four albums (and more!) with what has always been another special kind of family. i truly love making music, and the tunes will always live forever, but what i will always remember most of all is all of our laughter in between the notes. that will always be my favorite part. by @josephsettine

bluebeard is finally here. there is so much that i could say about this record, but i will just say that there has never been one that is more true and authentically us. i tried to capture that in this post, and so i used a bunch of moments that i think represent it best - moments of laughter, happiness, just fuckin around with my best friends.

i think that’s what i will remember most - that i was able to spend some of my time here on earth making something like this, with so many people that i love so much. in a place as beautiful as sky valley, and then everywhere in between over the last two years.

sometimes i feel very uncomfortable talking about myself, or being proud of myself. but today i am going to say that i think that the words i’ve written for these songs (with the exception of johns song prove you wrong!!!!!) are top to bottom the best thing i have ever done. every single song changed me as a person, every song felt like growth. shedding a cocoon to come out a new and more beautiful thing. i am so proud of my bandmates, and so thankful that i get to make songs with them. i think we made something really special together, and it is out in the world and will exist forever as a reminder of how much we love each other and how much we laugh together. this is the best part of the whole journey - when the songs stop being ours and start being everyone’s. i’m buckled up and ready to ride. happy bluebeard day. by @josephsettine

long limbs is finally here. the first of twelve songs from our third record, bluebeard, which comes out september 15th. we made most of it in ten days in sky valley, georgia together and this was our view every morning. it was the best ten days of my life, making songs with my best friends.

this record is the most true to us that our music has ever been, and i’m more proud of it than anything we’ve ever done. i hope you like the first song, and stick around for the other 11, if you like. i think they are pretty good, maybe even all time tunes! by @josephsettine

almost six weeks on the road.. and way more than six new friends, six good cries, six cold beers. forever grateful for the multitudes of tour. this has been our longest stretch on the road yet, and we played to more people than i thought possible when it was just alec and i at moe’s bbq in 2015. thank you thank you thank you - to anyone and everyone who gave us a shot and listened to a tune, or watched me channel my social anxiety into dancing on stage with my 4 best friends. by @josephsettine
