Here’s the original notebook paper I wrote “Miranda” in

I started writing Miranda to grapple with losing myself in college. Miranda was everything, every day spent moping through Oklahoma, every Ex-Girlfriend or friend I had lost, every moment of sadness I wanted to escape, yet, there became a comfort in that melancholy. A melancholy that was addicting to sit in. Miranda was everything I had left behind, and I couldn’t realize why I missed her. In writing Miranda I was able to move on, from all of it, and I’m so proud of it. I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written- it’s not loud, it’s controlled, contemplative, but most of all, it’s elevated by the incredible people who took a bare bones idea and turned it into something extraordinary.
@max_caine engineered this thing to perfection, and reworked my original guitar part to have so much life and enthusiasm.
@dnilausd is a wizard, and my favorite part of the whole process was watching Dom hand write the whole ending string section off the dome. He also rips a mean piano part.
@sam.swinnerton is literally the GOAT. The LeBron of indie folk, the Steph Curry of mixing, and the Jared McCain of making me sound good
@arlowpark taught me how to use Pinterest for this album cover and they took 8 black and white photos of Adrien Brody with his hand over his eye and made a hauntingly beautiful cover
@johnosbornmusic is literally a one of one. I didn’t really get what mastering was until I got the first one back from John and felt like I had met a long lost child or something. The song felt whole, complete, and it’s all because of John’s magic touch.

Miranda is yours now. Thank you to my friends who commented every time I posted it on TikTok, you’re the first people I’ll switch up on❤️

The goal of the summer has been to reclaim my space as a singer/actor first. I love to play whatever instrument you need for whatever you’re doing (like fr don’t stop asking me to play), but I feel like I got consumed by that and forgot why I’m really here, to sing. I want it to be impossible for people to say “Woah you sing? I didn’t know you could do that”. Rhys let me sing face, and that will always be a yes from me. Anyway, if you read this far here’s a fun fact, my HS theater teacher tried to cut this song from our production! Classic Kelly. Voice by @broadwayvoxstudios

Uh oh!! JT got new headshots again!!!
Took these photos with my slime @jackhopewell on day 4 of my hair transplant journey. Swollen and scabby, it’s nice to have friends who are down to partake in your bullshit. It’s nice to remind yourself of how far you’ve come and how far you’ll go. It’s nice to look good with a bloody hairline.
All my hair is falling out now, but we are trusting the process. Everyone tell Jack they did a great job! #hair #jackhopewellrocks #hairtransplant by @josephthormusic

HAIR TRANSPLANT DAY 1!!! (Read all the way thru)

Holy COW did last night hurt! We got thru it with some meds and the help of my family, but wowza that anesthesia wore off HARD. HELLO!!

Today was a lot calmer, went back to get everything looked at, had to ice my head most of the time, got a little lunch with Brendan, did therapy, and now I’m back in NYC. So far so good, tomorrow is bandage removal day! Yay!

A part of my journey that I haven’t been very open about, but will potentially be more open about, was how it all started. Originally I had won a free hair transplant, giveaway, and for three weeks, I thought I was gonna go to Greece and get one for free. However, because of my medical history, it was deemed unsafe for me to go both by the team there and my doctors here. I did manage to get some awesome videos of me telling some friends the news, so I wanted to include those here to thank my friends for being incredible. They were all just as excited with how the results turns out as they were about Greece. I love my friends.
