Home from a beautiful whirlwind tour in Spain with @liladowns and this killer crew... Played for great festival crowds in Tarragona, Cartagena, Madrid and Santiago de Compostele.
This is a brief sampling, including World Cup final, some concert highlights, and of course, stellar food everywhere! taken in Spain by @josh.deutsch

The wonderful #LilaDowns @liladowns and her powerful majestic voice tonight at #RuidosaFest @ruidosafest at #LincolnCenter @lincolncenter in NY.

I’ve had the pleasure to work with Lila both live and in the studio several years back and I’m so happy to see her do what she does best again on the road!

Her band is fantastic and fun and features friends and old colleagues, among which: Josh Deutsch @josh.deutsch (trumpet, keyboards), George Saenz (trombone, accordion), Rafael Gomez (guitars), Luis Guzman (bass, synthesizer), Sinuhe Padilla @sinuepadilla (jarana, bajo, zapateado), Lautaro Burgos (drums), and Nikki Campbell (percussion), among others… taken in Lincoln Center by @josh.deutsch

RIP to the great @michaelperezcisneros ... So sad you're gone. Mike recorded, mixed and mastered almost all the albums I've put out into the world. Starting out in the basement on Douglass St., and more recently in the beautiful Big Orange Sheep. Being in the booth mixing with him was truly one of my happy places... Mike was so good at what he did... as an engineer, he put musicians completely at ease and knew how to get the best sounds out of every instrument. I learned so much from working on mixing albums with him... He would always have ideas to get the music where it needed to go, and was happy to explain exactly what he was doing. He was lightning quick, but rarely felt rushed. Over six albums of my own, plus many more as a sideman, I really counted Mike not only as a trusted engineer, but a friend, and I'll miss his mastery, his passion for music, his warmth and humor. As those who worked with him know, he always "hooked it up".
The stamp Mike has on the NYC music world over the last few decades is pretty staggering. Miss you my friend... Thanks for everything. 💔 by @josh.deutsch
