Life Lately.

I visited home, 4 years after my migrant journey. Really enjoyed reconnecting with friends and food especially the ones I’ve not had enough of in my time away.

Even though Canada is my new home, Nigeria will always have a special place in my heart.

Today, I’m thankful for life, the wonderful people I’ve met and the journey that has brought me so far.

If I had to start over today, I know exactly what I would do. Here are the first three accounts I would open.

1. No-Fee Chequing Account
You need a place for your daily money. Do not pay the bank to hold your cash. Find an account with zero monthly fees.

2. High-Interest Savings Account
This is the best place for your emergency fund. It keeps your money safe. It also pays you much more interest than a normal bank account.

3. Investment / Brokerage Accounts
You cannot just save your money. You need to invest it so it grows. This account lets you buy things like ETFs to build real wealth for your future.
