Switzerland… one of the most beautiful countries on the planet.
There are a few country’s I hope to visit again someday and Switzerland is near the top of the list.

Frames or no frames?

I’ve been using frames over the past year as a way to try and make multiple styles work on my page. In an attempt to make it feel more editorial rather than full random. I’ve committed for a year but it still feels odd to me and I’d like your vote on what you prefer.

It fascinates me how hobbies and interests can change and develop over time.

During my life with a camera, I’ve gone through countless interests. From light painting to landscapes, urban city shots to automotive and beyond.
I still love all of those aspects of photography but the more I learn and experience, I find it’s the smaller things that fascinate me. Things I once overlooked as I was only looking for the big Instagram shots.
Things like, textures, shadows, colour combinations and placement.

It’s taken me 32 years of photography to find what interests me and that’s what keeps me excited about having a camera.
That constant and ever evolving interest that makes me want to spend all my money on lenses 😅.

A work trip I went on recently, really made me fall in love with photography again and made me understand what I want from it.
I can’t describe it but simply knowing what inspires me is bringing back creativity like I haven’t felt in years and that’s such a good feeling.

Iceland. Been there once. Hardly saw anything as I was working. But what I did see was stunning.
I’d love to go back with a bit more freedom to explore the coast and black sand beaches.
Anyway here is @odub_23 standing in-front of a waterfall.

I was skating down a street in New York when I saw this scene and instantly had to stop to capture it.
It quickly became my favourite photo of the trip.

A deflated birthday balloon in a bin beside a police department sign felt like such a strange juxtaposition.
There’s something a bit George Orwell, 1984 about it — that sense of innocence meeting authority.
The party’s over.

It has a kind of melancholy to it — sad yet oddly intriguing.
Now that I’ve read this back, I’m not sure why it’s a favourite, as it’s pretty dark 😂

I did a shoot last week in a house that I’d probably never be able to afford but I took a selfie in the property to remind myself of the experience and use it as inspiration to motivate me.

Even if I managed to buy a house one day that’s worth 10% of this one, I’d have to be a multi millionaire 😅
