Bacharach was the next town on my trip. Arguably the smallest town I saw, I was only here for a few hours while I waited for the train to get to my next town Heidelberg, but I am glad I stopped at this small little town. It was easy to walk everywhere and see all the sights. Very small streets probably the smallest I saw on my trip too but still was very walkable.

Boppard Germany, a small town along the Rhine River, this town was different from everywhere else on my trip. It seemed almost empty but for its size so full, so slowed down compared to the bustling streets of Cologne or prior German cities like Münster or Bremen. Just by the water and easy going. Nothing came close on this trip to my very first cigar here by the water where one could hear nothing but the distant chatting and laughter of fellow Germans dining, and the reflection of the orange-lit church across the water. Boppard was very likely my favorite town in Germany besides Heidelberg, so calming and amazing views from the hike up over the valley. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Cologne Cathedral and Münster. I visited Münster first and stayed two nights and it was an amazing time. I met some very nice people and had dinner with them, alongside spent the days walking past the old European architecture which felt new but also the same every city, which is a good thing I think. The Cologne Cathedral was out of this world huge I had trouble taking photos and videos of it because of the sheer size. Was definitely worth the visit on my way south to my next town Boppard Germany.

Flensburg and Bremen were both amazing. Coming down from Denmark was pretty easy and making my way south. The food is for sure a highlight of what makes the experience of each city so much better. Next place is Münster.

Copenhagen was the first city I saw on my trip. I got off from my plane from Oslo and after spending the night in the airport floor I was ready to see the city. I loved how walkable it was and how every corner had something new to see. Looking back it may of been a top 3 city I went to and I’m for sure coming back here again.

Norway, specifically the Lofoten islands, were the first start of my solo Europe trip. This place was amazing seeing it for the first time the and the pictures don’t do it justice for the nature around you and the fjords. It was very quiet too especially at my mornings walks. It reminded me of the Pacific Northwest in Washington a lot too in a way, but at the same time different. I did some camping and had some difficulties too with that but managed to overcome and make it for my next destination in Norway from the islands after a few days. I would love to come back one day but with a car next time.

My final post on my solo roadtrip. I started on April 3rd and ended on April 28th. I had an amazing solo roadtrip all by myself learning new things about myself and how to live inside my own skin a little bit. I think every person in some way to another go by themselves and even for a few days just drive to places or go camping all by yourself and really learn to live inside your own thoughts. It’s not for everyone, but it’s for me for sure. I now have a very bad travel itch that will keep getting scratched. I plan to solo travel basically the whole world, who knows what’s next? Thank you for reading and seeing my US roadtrip journey. Josh 🙂

My time in Wyoming was very enjoyable, it was easily a top 3 state I saw on my trip because it’s like Nevada with its long roads and not many people, but has more trees and grass. The places in the images are Devils Tower, Grand Teton Barns which sadly had bad weather but in the good side not any people. Fort Laramie was very fun to learn about and with it being free and kind of hidden there wasn’t more than me and maybe 2 other people. Final images include my small haul I got in Cheyenne at a vintage shop and a small park in Buffalo where I saw some local wildlife and made my eggs.

A few pictures of my time in Colorado. Pictured is my drive along the million dollar highway, downtown Denver pictured from Buffalo Bill’s grave memorial, a train car outside Walden alongside some mountain pictures there, and finally a small hot spring just in the side of the road south of the million dollar highway.

Petrified Forest National Park was arguably the most surprising place I visited, I didn’t expect much going there. I almost skipped it to make better time, but I’m very glad I didn’t. There were barely any people and it’s incredible. There was a mile loop on one of the first pull-offs which had these trees which had been turned into this petrified crystal of some kind. Not only that but there are also the large white mounds, and some very interesting Native American inscriptions which were definitely a highlight seeing them so clearly; alongside the old structures. Just a mile away you go from this white rock material to the red hills that look like they go on forever. I’d visit this place for sure in another future trip.
