Taken a week to get this post out but here it goes! What a weekend last weekend was!

Firstly we had @teagan.mccart in her first head contact bout on @worldofcombat1 ‘s CFN, I’m personally so proud of Teagan, for the effort she puts in to training on the hard days as well as continuing to be a great young coach to her students and in the classes!

We had very clear instructions for Teagan before the fight, 3 things to remember and to be fair to her she did just that, a convincing and impressive UD win all pointing to a very exciting near future coming up for her! However much we need to get her to start listening to the corner during fights 😂

Next up was @dan.mcmanus7 in the same show and there is no chance Dan is ever in a boring fight, and this was no exception, I can honestly say at this level of K1 I haven’t seen a more technical and hard fought battle by both fighters, Dan unfortunately coming away on the wrong side of a decision loss, but the most entertaining and fun fight to corner and watch despite the result!

Then lastly on Sunday we took a small group to the @theknowlesyacademy for their monthly interclub which is always so well run and good learning and fun for all. Tyler, Louie and Seb all had nice tough spars and have come away with valuable learning and experience 👏 by @joshjms_cbk

What a Saturday we had

✅ 3 Fights
✅ 2 Venues
✅ 1 New Title Won

First we had @teagan.mccart fighting on Cyclone, in her first head contact K1 bout.
Teagan absolutely smashed it and dominated throughout the three rounds and came away with an unanimous decision. After the performance she put on she has now been offered another 2 fights before Xmas. We are keen to keep the momentum going for Teagan and honestly we believe (if she can learn to listen 😂), she will go far in the sport, and is already developing into a great coach and inspiration for the next lot of junior Kickboxers coming through 🥊

Second was @dan.mcmanus7 Dan has been with the gym since he was about 10 years old and is one of the gyms Black Belts. Dan consistently trains and always has, but Kickboxing to him is not a career path, it’s his passion and fun. He loves the challenge of taking on a fight once or twice each year.
Dan last night was involved in one of the best K1 fights I’ve seen at this level and even one of the judges told me after the fight, it was his fight of the night and the best example of K1 he’d seen and was his fight of the night. Dan lost on points but wait until you see the fight 🥊

Last up I drove over to the Circus Tavern for @cbaker1980 title fight. After a ridiculously long wait, we finally went out to fight at gone Midnight.
I don’t get to go to many of Bakers fights as he is fighting so regularly but I could tell his mood was lifted by me and Uncle Al being there to do his corner and I knew it was going to be his night. Baker fought the most composed fight I’ve seen him in and got his man out of there in the 3rd round by way of body shots. Adding another belt and title to his collection 🥊

What a long but very happy and rewarding night for me and the Gym 🥊 🙏🏼
