👋 Photographers, videographers, and podcasters in Denver! We’re hosting the @foxphotostudios Grand Opening Party on October 28. VIP guests get first dibs on bookings + exclusive launch offers. 👉 Comment or DM “Fox Photo Studios” now to claim your invite. Now let’s be real for a second… Working out of coffee shops, cluttered living rooms, or your client’s messy office doesn’t exactly scream professional. It kills your flow, lowers your perceived value, and makes it harder to charge what you’re really worth. Your clients notice it too. When they’re paying you good money, they expect the experience to match your skills. That’s why we built Fox Photo Studios, near Downtown Denver. A polished, professional space built for photographers, videographers, and podcasters — with everything you need to impress clients, elevate your work, and command higher rates. If you’re ready to finally step into a space that makes you look as good as your craft… 👉 DM or comment “Fox Photo Studios” and join us October 28. See you there! #denver #photostudios #grandopening2025 by @joshmilescom
🦊 Do something that scares you. Especially when that scary thing is something that will help you step up your game. For the past few years, anytime I was working on a professional photo or video project, I was either on site at a client’s location. Or rearranging the furniture in my own home to make room for the shoot. Set up lights. Teardown lights. Hunt for gear. Repeat. Well, finally, I have one place for it all. Client work. Interviews. Head shots. And my podcast. All in one place. And in a few months, your projects can happen here too… In the coming weeks, we will be announcing the long awaited opening date for Fox Photo Studios, just north of Metro Denver. Just west of I-25 and just south of I-70. This process has been long, and much slower than expected, but I’m pleased to say we are nearing the Finish Line! Or would that be the starting line? If that name sounds familiar, you’re probably an 80s kid Fox photo was a 24-hour film developing business. You may have seen their little pagodas in the parking lot of your favorite grocery store or shopping mall. Over the years, the brand was sold and re-sold, and the trademark finally died. But we are reviving it, right here, right now. I could go on about the nerdy stories, and the Back to the Future references. But for now, I’ll leave it here. Stay tuned for more… by @joshmilescom
🥩“Don’t Sell the Steak—Sell the Sizzle!”🔥 Author and sales trainer, Elmer Wheeler coined this phrase almost a century ago, encouraging marketers to lean on emotions over logic when promoting their products and services. If I had to guess, this is probably where the advertising industry first co-opted the use of the word “sizzle” or “sizzle reel” to describe a short, fast-paced, promotional video. My latest sizzle reel encompasses some of my favorite AEC and technology clients, including a few of my favorite recent projects from branding—to brand films—to photography. One of my favorite elements of a sizzle reel is the ability to incorporate different types of clients and projects into a single, mouth-watering piece. If you see something here that inspires you, let’s chat... perhaps over a sizzling, medium-rare steak. #sizzlereel #sizzle #brandind #brandfilms #photography #boldbrand by @joshmilescom
The Curse of the Wolf. The script sat 3 years on my harddrive. 24 hours to shoot and edit. Turns out, the script was ready the whole time. I wasn’t. Whatever you’ve been sitting on… go make it. Stop polishing the idea. Go shoot it. The Curse of the Wolf, coming soon. #shortfilm #werewolf #canonc80 #canonc70 #canonc50 mavic4pro by @joshmilescom

Near!… Far! (IYKYK) This morning I had the privilege of opening the @smpsswrc conference in Denver, introduce our amazing keynote Skot Waldron, and do a little yeti hunting while I was at it. Thank you @jaime_nicole_clark 📸 for the great photos! Also if you see Jaime and the stuffed yeti, take a selfie and tag @armoursash @ccdmagazine magazine and #swrcwintheyeti to win this adorable not-so-little guy! #aecmarketing @boldbrandllc by @joshmilescom

Woosh. That’s the sound of 60-year-old iron pressing foil into 220lb black paper. No gradients. No QR code. No “scan to connect.” Just black on black + white foil, and an impression deep enough to read with your eyes closed. Because in the sea of sameness, tactile texture is a strategy.
