Out of the studio and onto the trails. Itching to sleep outside again soon.

Ice field hikes. Last years snow in a summer that somehow slipped away.

What’s more Oregon than clouds during a celestial event? Turns out I didn’t need that solar filter after all.

The UH88 (University of Hawaii 88 inch telescope) sits at just shy of 14,000ft atop Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island.
With all the news about the James Webb, and incredibly, a believable launch window for the Space Launch System that will take us back to the moon (first unmanned test slated for August 29th), it seemed a great time to out my deep and humbling love for all things Cosmos.

Last image is of the internals of the Gemini Observatory, located adjacent the UH88 for the discerning types.

Moonlit night on top of Steens Mountain. A rare, windless, mosquitoeless, stary night with the dauntless Brooke Weeber (seriously, check out her wanderlust here @brooke_weeber) and Roamerica van mods and rentals (they have the vans we all dream of rallying, and now we can rent them @roamericarentals).
I'm not going to say I'm already thinking about summer... but I'm getting ready to start thinking about thinking about it.
