What used to work no longer works.
Posts that previously were praised are now getting crickets.
Why?
People are exhausted.
There is a major shift happening.
People now need your help more than ever, yet are less willing to take a risk.
They've been burned from previous interactions and are more cautious than ever.
But in reality, they are waiting to recognize themselves in your communication style.
If you don't know how to communicate that way, you're speaking to the void.
The path is more narrow. Gaining trust is more demanding.
More precision is needed.
To be able to meet the actual need, you have to first come to terms with the fact that you don't know how meet that need.
The problem, ironically, is that you know your work too well.
You are so steeped in your culture that you've become a cult of one.
And people are interested in what you have but they don't know how to enter your world without abandoning their own.
And people have wised up to abandoning themselves.
So now, they're over here and you're over there.
What do you do?
Something totally different.
Something which can simultaneously reach others while also realizing that the real goal is to reach YOU in a new way.
You need to learn to tell a story.
It presents a ladder people can walk from point A to point B.
You've been presenting point B and asking why no one is interested.
In this whole post, I haven't even told you about point B yet; I'm harping on point A just so you can pick up what I'm putting down.
I help businesses discover what people actually value about their work.
It's usually not what you think.
I'm a filmmaker, so sometimes that essential shift is turned into a short film demonstrating the core of what people need to feel about your work.
The issue is that you know your point B a little TOO well.
You don't know their point A well enough.
I make films that help you know their point A better.
I love making that discovery together with you.
Plus, you get to share it with them too.
I now offer what I call the Firelight session for $750. We will illuminate for you the basic pathway to see your business through your customers' eyes. by @joshua.edjida

Fancy tools and achievements don't mean anything if you don't know what it means to genuinly trust yourself.

And to have real connections where people can actually see you.

Genius work is not created by ordinary processes or more efficient workflows.

True Participation is only possible if we learn to listen at a deeper level.

Willful ignorance is the dilemma we are in. Actual effort is applied, like pressing on a gas pedal, toward the prevention of our own awareness onto our hidden internal motives.
We are habitually protecting ourselves from Truth, as if seeing our habits make us somehow less legitimate.
As if seeing where we have room to grow makes us unworthy of love. Balderdash! A seed and a sapling need water and sunlight to grow into a mighty tree.
And yet we are programmed to believe that if you don't "act grown" you're malfunctioning. Everytime I see a sapling acting like a tree, it's simply not believable.
Everytime I see a seed acting like a sapling, it makes it harder to plant it underground where it actually needs to be.
A sapling is measurably larger and heavier than a seed, and a tree is measurably larger and heavier than a sapling.
These define exactly what level of need and care are required. And yet as humans we resist being measured, we resist being seen in what we need, we resist being anything other than perfectly developed. Our masks makes it hard to breathe.
Speaking from my own internal experience of the programming of willful ignorance and the what masquerades as self-protection... I simply invite us all to let the love in.
Other people being valid does not make us invalid.
It is not a competition.
Resources are plentiful and we can help each other through collaboration.
In our highly dissociated modern times, we must reinvent what it means to be together around the campfire. by @joshua.edjida

Human writers are going to be more in demand than ever.
But, highly skilled human writers.
AI is helping the gap growing more obvious, when something is poorly done.
In reality, plenty of unskilled human writers are just as bad as AI at writing.
And, if used skilfully AI actually can actuslly help us to organize complex issues.
There is a place for tools: and it's not on a pedestal.
Codependency with AI is what really needs to die.
AI is not a bubble, its much bigger than that.
Nostalgia for how the world used to be isn't going to bring it back.
Growing our individual capacity for nuance is the real change we can make.
Just like using power tools in building houses is not a bubble, it won't disappear. It's simply too much more efficient.
But, real craftsmanship is still required!

This whole dilemma is causing us to grow (in descernment, and more) as a species.
It's much more nuanced than any kind of binary positioning, and yet this is still what people rely on.
Old patterns die hard, unless we choose otherwise. by @joshua.edjida

Life is naturally gamified; we just have to learn how it works.

People are actors.
We play roles without admitting it to ourselves.
Our bodies get sick of the unconscious roles, so we self-sabotage.
Then we try to biohack our way into being healthier without having to actually become authentic.

But when we play absurd rules intentionally...
The magic of realization becomes more easily accessible.

Role playing as a technology is an important missing link. The Toltecs called it recapitulation or theater of infinity.

Most people will hunker down on their identities until it destroys them.

These dumb games are not necessary.
Games driven by insanity are tearing us apart.
Games of intent are the solution. by @joshua.edjida

Your business changed.

Did your instincts?

The landscape has transformed rapidly, and more change will keep showing up faster and faster.

You're still resisting the fact that the world has changed forever. Regardless of whether you approve or not, the floor will continue to shift every single week, with no end in sight.

If you are stuck on how to proceed, your instincts - literally your knee-jerk reactions - need to be updated for these rapid changes.

When I noticed that what used to work for everybody has completely stopped working, I had to completely change my own instincts over the last year.

I don't need to tell you that the old ways are collapsing; it's already obvious.

Replacing it with the new pathways is actually the same as it’s always been: confounding and requiring a very skillful strategy. It’s just that now...the stakes are bigger than they used to be.

Bigger stakes mean less time and energy to devote to solving this riddle. So if focusing is hard right now, let's make this fun.
It doesn’t have to be tedious or a wild goose chase.

That’s why I made it into a game.

If you want to see what updating your instincts tastes like, come join Mission #2 this weekend.

Come sit by the virtual fire, and we shall rewire.

I can tell someone exactly what their pattern is, and it changes almost nothing.
I've watched this for years. They nod, shocked. They agree with every word...
And the pattern keeps running like I never said anything.
The pattern doesn't live in our understanding. Even if we're open to learning it can stay in a blind spot.
It's a protective role a person takes on. And it began so long ago that it feels like who they are. The body has a knee-jerk reaction before any conscious choice can be made.
Explanations, like this one, reach the mind. But the mind is not driving!
I had to end my coaching practice because of this issue.
Coaching works when someone is already aware of a problem.
The patterns that team dynamics originate from are exactly the ones we can't see from inside.
So I built something that addresses the issue where it actually lives, in the knee-jerk reactions.
I created a game called Theater of Me.
ToM is a live, structured experience.
Each mission is built around a problem that looks unsolvable.
You take on a role that is nothing like you.
Tension shows up, and it has to be resolved.
Not discussed... actually move through.
It's not a place to be analyzed; it's deeper.
Whatever you discover, you discover by doing it and FEELING it. Perspectives open up that are normally unavailable to you.
This is not teaching your mind; it's giving you an experience so you can gain new muscle memories.
Experiential learning is the point. Because we can agree with an explanation, yet stay exactly the same. The right, precise experience opens a doorway for you to become who you had not yet been able to step into.
Our public group experiences are starting up, and we also have Theater of Us for couples and teams.
If you know a team in transition, where the old roles are dissolving...we can help.
I have a question for you: What's something you mentally understood about yourself for years before anything actually changed? by @joshua.edjida

Game mechanics can evolve humanity.

For decades now, the importance of game mechanics for our evolution has been very obvious to me.

Because our brains are wired for ritual. We are comfortable having routines and rules to operate within.

When we are going to play something and someone spells put "the rules of the game" everyone listens intently because we want to know what world we are stepping into.

Because we innately know, if we misunderstand how the rules work, there are consequences.

So, the interesting question then becomes, can we use gasification rules to outgrow our need for rules?
In other words, can a game be designed which makes us more capable of designing our own game of life?

This is the ultimate usage of game mechanics, when a game is designed to truly support us in our personal evolution.

To do so accurately, the game designer has to understand the most basic mechanics of human development. In such a way that the players of the game don't need to understand anything, they just play.

Staying focused on this one problem, I have spent countless hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars trying and failing over and over again. That, of course, was my own game of evolution that I created for myself until I was able to get it right.

I've finally got it. And of course it was right in front of me the whole time. I just had to wriggle into my own areas of resistance enough to be able to recognize it.

This is Theater of Me.

I've had to do a lot of mindset work to learn how to hold paradoxical issues.
Magical solutions exist, but if I indulge in trying to understand them rationally, it kills the energy.
The right mindset is essential to be okay with the unknown.
If I stop making the mystery a problem, I'm no longer fighting reality and this lets spirit work through me.
It takes more knowledge to know nothing.
Knowing everything is a less mature state.
The mystery always holds the solution to every riddle.
My most important job is to know how to respect the unknown, and in doing so I am able to gently influence it.
My authenticity allows me to stay connected to my true desire, which is how the universe communicates through me and everyone. I don't have to understand everything to See how it works.
In this new phase of life, and in sharing my alchemical art, I allow it to be be understated and misunderstood.
Because over-explaining it has been my way of fighting with the mystery.
It takes more discipline for me to just let people project their ideas...
And it's more loving for me to stay in the sensation of not being seen accurately.
And this in itself speaks what needs to be spoken.
