hønest & heavy

It’s been a minute.
I love instagram because it connects me with people, people I love. And that’s what I live for! But I’ve found it hard to post on here lately because someone is missing. One of my favourite people to connect with. A true friend.
And I’ve kinda felt like what’s the point. If I can’t connect with you Tegan.

I’ve been finding life really hard. I’ve been crying often. Usually when I’m alone.

I think about you often. Quietly in big groups. When I drive. During worship at church because I know there’s a voice missing. Whenever I think about the South Island.
I miss you so much.
and I will forever allow myself to feel those feelings.

I’ve been really happy while constantly being sad.

Life is still the best but it also sucks so bad without you.

I have the greatest friends but I could do with one more.

I know you’re the happiest you’ve ever been, and that brings me joy but also I just want my friend back.

I have always looked forward to what comes after death. Being with Him. But oh how I long for it even more now. To be with you again & get to witness Tegan in her most perfect form. What a sight that will be. All of us re united singing praises & Glory to our God and Saviour.

I think I usually distract myself from the sad parts of life with the fun exciting things. But nothing really distracts me from this pain. Nor would I want it to.

The hardest part of posting this is it feels like letting go, but I’m not ready to let go.

But I know you’d tell me I’d be silly not to keep connecting with the ones I have around me.
So ig this is me pushing through even when I don’t really feel like it.

My favourite 2 memories - South Island trips but mostly the roadie back up
- Char’s wedding
I am so grateful that they are so fresh in my memory.

You were a good one Tegan
I will never forget you.
I will miss you forever.

A short entry:
3 weeks ago I was a bit of a sad boi and tbh I still don’t know why. Kinda felt like there was no reason for it.
And then the last 2 weeks have been the best!
Genuinely have enjoyed them SO SO much!

A good reminder to myself and maybe to you that things are only temporary, look up and that the best is yet to come. Don’t get too down and feel like life isn’t great look around, there’s always and I mean always things to appreciate because we have so much more than we need and far more than we deserve! I’m convinced having fun and enjoying life is a choice, that regardless of your circumstances you can make the most it!
And if sad boi Josh can go from hating life to absolutely frothing it consistently then you definitely can!!

Also I know those words might seem to be overused but over the last 2 weeks you haven’t been able to wipe a smile off my face and I’ve found myself audibly going “aaaaarghh” “man my life is so good” or “I’m so grateful” “how come I get to enjoy life this much” “how lucky am I” “this is the best” sooooo many times in my van hahahah (often w mountains and a sunset as a backdrop to be fair)

and to me that is THE BEST
That feeling will never get old esp because I’ve been a stranger to it for so long 😊

Hope you’re all loving life!

Pics from my trip down to chch. No fresh pics coz I’m evolving into a boring adult and I actually work these days boooo (even tho works actually be so fun)

This week i’ve been reminded again and again,
That my life is the BEST!
Simply because of Jesus Christ.
i have so much joy & peace & security & hope because of His grace towards me.

i am happy because i have God in my life.
Seems too simple but it’s true.

Wow i am grateful for the life i’ve been given!

I can’t even put into words how much knowing Him is the best part of my life, in fact what i have based my whole life around.
All i want is for you to taste the goodness He’s given me!

PLZ CONSIDER HIM!!

Still the same Josh who’s really really enjoying a life he does not deserve but is SO grateful he has!!
