“THE PATH” IS OFFICIALLY OUT EVERYWHERE!!

Making and releasing this record has been both a labour of love and a royal pain in the ass, and I can’t fully describe how excited I am to say that it’s out in the world for everyone to hear! These are all tunes that are deeply meaningful to me, and dedicated to so many of the amazing people, places and experiences that have shaped me into who I am today as a person and an artist. You can buy it on bandcamp at the link in my bio, and stream it everywhere, OR get a CD! I’ll be selling them all around Canada at the release shows, or you can hit my DMs and I’ll put one aside for you :)

I also owe some very big thank you’s to everyone who’s helped make this possible. Firstly, to my phenomenal band: you guys are seriously some of my favourite musicians ANYWHERE, and I’m so unbelievably grateful for everything you bring to my music. This record wouldn’t sound the way it does without all of your musical brains and creative spirits at play.

@christian_antonach 🎺
@1024_ezsax 🎷
@miles.ck 🎸
@emmetthodgins 🎹
@matteoromaniello 🥁
@milesjmusic 🪘

And to my production team, for all the support, logistical help, and advice through the process of making this album - especially my GOAT producer Thomas for helping keep me sane and organized making this record in the midst of a CRAZY year.

@thomas.mordaunt - Producer
@saintclarens - Recording and Mixing Engineer
@reubenghose - Mastering Engineer

@dreamlands_mastering - Project Advisor
@yeonggibaik , @chismshism , @tc.celine and @kaigaboury_ - Assistant Engineers
@the_unlucky_optimist - Artwork

And finally, to all of my friends, family, and mentors along the way - please know that this record and these tunes have all in some way been shaped by each and every one of you. Thank you for your love, support, wisdom, and influence at every turn.

Toronto friends! I’m coming back to town fresh off a beautiful BC run and very very stoked for a busy October ahead :) come hang at Dina’s next week and see this new iteration of my quartet!

I’m also beyond humbled to say that I only have 23 CDs left of my debut album “The Path” after the release tour! Come out and get one before they’re gone - I’m biased, but I think it’s a pretty good record😛 by @joshwmain

“Spirits (for Jinx)” is out everywhere today🥹❤️ we lost Jinx almost 3 years ago now, but it’s been very cathartic to have and play this tune in her memory - if you’re one of the people who’s come up to me after a gig or a recital asking to see pictures of her and asking me about her, I hope you know how much joy that brings me🫶🫶Jinx was such a loud, fierce, and loving presence, and I wrote this tune to represent her the way my family and I remember her in life.

I started writing this tune in January 2025 after a very vivid dream where my two little sisters and I were in our living room, having a moment to be with Jinx again. At some point, Jinx started walking away, my youngest sister Cara goes “bye Jinx, thanks for stopping by…” - and then I woke up, sobbed for a good half hour, and started writing a tune. As one does. Apparently.

With all that said - you can buy it on bandcamp at the link in my bio, and stream it everywhere!! Out of any of my tunes, I’m so so incredibly happy to have this one out in the world, and brought to life with so much care and sensitivity by some of my favourite musicians in the world❤️
