To be allowed into the heart of the ocean is such a gift. I go out with a open heart of respect to play & learn more of this magic world.

I started out wanting to try to heal my past & body. The ocean taught me to observe the problems of the world & care about finding ways to help the planet out.

In that process I forgot about my problems & focused on how to help the ocean. Looking at the bigger picture of what human development/ plastic pollution is causing. Plastics are a massive problem happening in real time - year after year!!!

I started this deep practice of swimming down to the reefs after I catch a really incredible wave!! Touching the reef with a gratitude prayer “Thank You for letting me be here Today”.

The ocean can teach everyone who wants to be open & present. I say just be here in the now to look / listen to what’s happening!! The simple solution of leaving it better / cleaner is a mission that is definitely possible.

I am forever a student of the waves & tides. Life to me learning to live in the balance all together on PLANET EARTH.

2012 - 2026
This is the last photo of my right hand & legs right before 17months in /out of hospitals.
Addiction almost took my soul & body
My limbs might be gone , but not my dreams

I cannot stop believing in miracles of things beyond it all every day in the ocean!
14yrs opiate free/ all drugs today. I will always stay 100% mindful of the suck.

Still here in the fight daily, surfing saves lives
No hands, No legs , No problems!!
Midnight always hits hard right after equinox each year!
My first life flight Oct 1st & open heart surgery was Oct 11th 2011
Andy Irons Died one year earlier & his story / passion fueled a whole new story in my life.
I was a pro at hiding the secret & addiction until I wasn’t by @joshybogle

Sufficiently Challenged Daily & Still Thriving!!

That is the quote I would use to describe this year & surfing in both Kneeling + Stand Divisions on the AASP Pro Adaptive Tour!!

Every single moment in the ocean & surfing is a gift beyond measure!!
Thank you to the amazing people who believe in this, created a platform & are changing lives.
Somehow the impossible is completely real & happening in real time!! Adaptive/ Para surfing is coming up fast to the world.
Nearly 90 athletes from 16 countries competed in the US Open Adaptive Surf Championships in Oceanside.

Some days you find true luck! 🍀

No AI or algorithm filter will understand just how beautiful it feels to wake up in a miracle.
Some days you just gotta send it out & be willing to receive what comes next!!!
Getting to learn wing, sup & prone foil from my friend @mauitomo is just one of those miracles!!
She did all 3 triple crown foil races to cross open ocean Hawai’i channels this summer!!

I will never forget the advice she taught me!
What’s in your heart is stronger than what’s in your way!!!

To believe in miracles, is to believe in the ocean & surfing!!
A massive amount of love & surf passion came together in Noosa , Australia 🇦🇺
International Surf Films came to town & a few classic surf legends shared more than historical knowledge!!

From a massive sold out first 2 nights , into a full house of 8 women surf films, historical knowledge films & grom surf movies. 4 days loaded up more a handful of special moments. So many very special movies that touched beyond just documentaries!!

The whole crew & film makers got to surf 40-70+ yrs of surfing history on incredible boards today!!

From the Roots to the Stars!! ✨
What’s harder, letting go or holding on?!
Are we in this life coming or are we going??

One month of an intentional Alcohol detox & soul retreat back home in the Tetons Wyo.
After a 5.5 yrs of Alcohol sobriety, I landed back on the wagon full stop & hid / hit the demon 😈 this spring!!

Fully grateful to reset back into alignment.

Can the gravity of all this work again reconnect back into the path & find the love to grow beyond it all once more again?!
Do I even have a chance to believe in the miracle beyond the hardship?

I choose to believe that we are so deeply connected to it all, that life wants us to be challenged, loved, at times alone & sometimes lost in the woods!!

Someone once walked up to me, we had not seen each other in over a decade or two!
He said to me , I remember you like the trees remember the Forrest! Welcome home 🙏🏽

I cried so hard that night , not because I was lost. I cried because someone saw me arrive!! Blessed now to refurbish & be ready for these old tractors, barns & summers / winters to help my family.

Returning to the JH roots now for over a month Alcohol Free, 3yrs THC free, 14yrs opiate& 17 yrs cocaine free & & trying my best to drop the caffein!! See you soon out there in the deep pacific blue waters!! by @joshybogle

Adaptive Surfing Division Spotlight: Kneel

The Kneel Division features surfers who ride the wave from a kneeling position. Athletes in this division have lower limb impairments that make standing difficult or impossible, but they use incredible balance, strength & technique to generate speed, carve turns & read the wave all from their knees.

Every wave showcases determination, athleticism & skill, proving that adaptive surfing is about finding new ways to perform at the highest level.

The 2025 AASP World Championships in the Kneel Division were @spongeabersoch (men’s) & @barbie_garcia_ritchie (women’s)

Getting a fresh reset to start again with a little help from some friends!!
I have been struggling with prosthetic legs!!

After missing weeks training in the gym & struggling to get back in shape!!

I got blessed to try some 3D printed legs by @limberprosthetics & today I got back in the gym to start a workout program!! @deep2peak
