I never learned to fly a plane but that wouldn't really matter here because I never learned Russian.

Autumn at the Völkerschlachtdenkmal.

Gold, orange and red, and one of Leipzig’s most imposing landmarks. Built to commemorate the Battle of the Nations in 1813, this monumental piece of history stands surrounded by the colours of the season.

A bit of history, a smidge of autumn atmosphere, and a massive monument looking bad ass in such a colourful setting.

What's your favourite time of year to photograph Leipzig? Drop it in the comments, and if you enjoy seeing Leipzig through my lens, give the post a like and follow along for more photography from the city!

A forgotten railway, hidden in Leipzig. 🚂

These abandoned tracks near the MDR are a little piece of the city's history, slowly being reclaimed by nature.

I took my camera along to explore the place, capture its atmosphere, and document a part of Leipzig that most people probably walk right past without knowing it exists.

Sometimes the most interesting places are hiding in plain sight.

How the Fall has fallen, and soon the colours will turn to mush. No worries, the days are shorter, colder and a scarf is a must.

I took my old Canon 6D to Crete to use as my primary camera. I wanted to see what life it still had left in it, if any. What do think about these snapshots taken with a 14 year old digital camera?

Man! I took these with my phone and I'm happy I did, but I wish I had a zoom lens with me for that extra bit of sharpness. But you know, shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Hooks for the sake of hooks. Clickbait dressed up as creativity.

Apparently, making a basic hook is now a skill worth showing off. Congrats, you’ve mastered the art of getting attention without actually saying anything.

Here’s a hook for you. 🪝

Everyone has an opinion about whether a 50mm lens looks like human vision. 🤓

I get it. The human eye isn't a camera lens. I'm not talking about peripheral vision or the exact science of optics.

I'm saying, put a 50mm on a full-frame camera, look through the viewfinder, open your other eye, and look around.

Then try it with a 24mm or an 85mm.

What feels the most natural to you?

Can we stop arguing about the science for five minutes and just look through the damn viewfinder? 😂
