To be honest I never thought the day where I had to say goodbye to my first love would be here, yet here we are. I can’t put into words how much baseball changed my life as an athlete and a person. When I step on the field every minor detail in life vanishes and the game takes my problems, off the field, away. I would like to shout a few people out for helping me along the way and showing me that there’s more to life than just a baseball game. My mom, dad, Mimi, and pap played a huge role as a part of my family. AB, Talan, and Lucas were by my side since I could throw a baseball and had my back in every scenario, on or off the field. My coaches, especially Chris Ledford, have shown me it doesn’t take the strongest guy or the most consistent player to be great at baseball, but being an all around good person and teammate is more important than how many hits you had in a game or how ever many plays you made. Last but not least I have to give glory to my lord and savior Jesus Christ for gifting me the athletic ability I have and for leading my path into life. Thank you to anyone who I forgot or anyone who has supported me or Meade County baseball on this ride. One day I will look back and wish I had played at the next level but given the cards that I was dealt I have to say goodbye for now by @josiah3pierce
