josiah and i have been feeling the Holy Spirit prompt us to share something a bit personal on here, which is a little out of character for us, ha! but this is bigger than us — it’s about God’s goodness in the midst of a season of uncertainty. for nearly two years we’ve been praying to grow our family, and learned infertility is going to be a part of our journey. while we wait, hope, and pray for a miracle, we’re here to testify of God’s presence along the way.

in the midst of your circumstances, He is always there. He hears you, He sees you, and His peace is always available to you. while we are in a season of waiting, we are also experiencing His goodness and faithfulness. these photos are evidence of that! thank you Lord for our health, provision, friends, family and so many other blessings.

one of the cornerstone scriptures of josiah and i’s faith is the story in daniel 3 of shadrach, meshach, and abednego — we encourage you to go read it! but in verse 18, as they are being ordered into the fiery furnace, they say “even if” (!!!) the Lord doesn’t save them from the fire, they refuse to surrender and worship nebuchadnezzar’s idols. they are choosing to stand firm in their faith, no matter the cost! they still have to walk into the furnace, but once in there, there’s a 4th man in the fire with them - God. it says later in verse 27 that “not a single hair on their head was scorched!” what a testimony.

so here we are: praying to grow our family, but knowing that He is still good. He is still faithful. most of all, He is walking right here with us. and even if it never happens for us, Jesus is enough. He is always enough and His goodness is not dependent on any earthly outcome.

our prayer is that this encourages someone. when you lean on Jesus, He will always meet you wherever you are, no matter your furnace. and if you choose to look for it, there will always be something to be thankful for and joy to be found, for we are called to walk by faith and not by sight 🤍 by @josiahhass

Hard to believe it’s been 22 years since we lost our mom. Every year is a little different experience as we celebrate her life.

This year is especially different after also losing @tollemomma in May, who quickly became my OKC mom in 2013.

It’s sometimes easy to dwell on how unfair it seems to experience this type of loss twice, but ultimately I’m reminded of Jesus’ goodness in the midst of a broken world.

We aren’t promised relationships, family, success, or health. We are promised that Jesus will be with us, whatever our lot. He is enough and it is well. taken in Tulsa, Oklahoma by @josiahhass

On our first date in an empty bar I told the bartender it was our 3 year anniversary and shared made up stories with the bartender while @cunninghamkatie tried to decide if I was more charming or crazy.

Almost 5 years later we have a lot of real stories and she’s my favorite person and best friend.
