Today, I’m officially introducing On Your Behalf, Inc.

This organization came from something I witnessed firsthand and couldn’t ignore.

During my years of incarceration, I met women whose names most people will never hear. Women fighting wrongful convictions. Women serving long sentences. Women with little to no support. Women who felt forgotten.

What stood out to me wasn’t just what they were going through. It was how many of them were expected to figure things out on their own.

When I came home, I realized there are women who fall through the cracks simply because their situations don’t fit neatly into the systems that are supposed to help them. I know that feeling personally.

Some women have release dates, programs, and support lined up. Others don’t.

Some women have people advocating for them. Others don’t.

Some women have someone in their corner. Others are standing alone.

That’s why I created On Your Behalf, Inc.

Because support starts long before release day.

Our mission is to stand in the gap for incarcerated and wrongfully convicted women by helping connect them to information, resources, encouragement, advocacy, and opportunities while they’re still inside.

This work is personal to me.

My faith carried me through some of the darkest years of my life, and I believe God allowed me to see these women and their struggles for a reason.

No woman should feel forgotten.

This is only the beginning.

Sometimes I sit back and think about all the things I’ve endured, and I’m reminded that God doesn’t waste pain.

There were moments I didn’t understand, moments that broke me, and moments I never thought I’d make it through.

Today, I can see that what I went through wasn’t the end of my story…it was preparation for my purpose.

On Your Behalf was created from that purpose: to advocate for, support, and stand beside incarcerated women and their families when they need it most.

What the enemy meant for harm, God is using for good.

Most people know parts of my story.

What many don’t know is that while I was incarcerated, I met women whose stories never made the news. Women fighting wrongful convictions. Women trying to hold on to hope. Women who felt invisible.

When I came home, I couldn’t stop thinking about them.

I couldn’t stop thinking about the women who had nobody showing up for them. The women trying to figure things out with little support. The women who fell through the cracks because their situations didn’t fit neatly into a box.

The more I thought about it, the more I knew I couldn’t just walk away from it.

So today, I’m proud to introduce On Your Behalf, Inc.

This organization was born from lived experience, faith, and a desire to stand in the gap for women who too often feel forgotten.

This isn’t just something I care about.

It’s something I’ve lived.

Lord knows how GRATEFUL I am for him to have placed you in my life ! The song says “ Best friend” but you have become a sister to me ! You have been my crutch during the hardest time of my life !
