just my thoughts of today!

Everyone always hears that art is subjective and whatnot. While I was painting my nails today, I got a little nail polish on the skin around my nails. People will often say they are bad at painting their nails if this tends to happen to them. But their nails are still painted when they do this, so how could they really be bad at it? The polish will wash off their skin and their nails will be fully painted.
Thinking about this, I was reminded of how when I was little, the kids who did not color in the lines learned to believe that they are “bad” at art. Many of these kids will grow up believing this well into their adulthood, never even bothering to try and defy this idea.
The other day, I learned that now schools are not allowed to give kids coloring sheets because it limits their creativity. Or maybe this was always a thing that my elementary school just didn’t follow. I hope that these kids will not come to the conclusion that they are bad at art. They are creating the lines rather than following them.
Yesterday, someone asked me if I was a creative person. I find that a sort of silly question, because who isn’t? Perhaps some people may appear to tap more into their “creative” side than others, but at the end of the day, creativity is such a diverse thing that changes from person to person. I mean, I think that if you truly believe some people are not creative- you probably aren’t using your own creativity to its fullest extent.
This was kind of a waterfall of thoughts- just flowing then hitting the waves and bouncing back and eventually becoming one with the waves. No one needs to pay this any mind, but I just felt like sharing. by @josjinx
