Going to @josstudios_official feels like a luxury experience straight he out of my fave comfort movie.

I used to watch The Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah over and over growing up 😂 I just loved seeing these beautiful Black women gist and Kiki in a communal space that made them feel beautiful, safe, and at home.

That’s how it feels here. The service, the conversations, and the way I feel after the appointment is over feels just like that.

I always look forward to the spa wash. How accommodating the team is — if I’m cold, they’ve got a blanket. If I’m peckish, they’ve got snacks at the ready.

And my hair always looks exactly like the Pinterest inspo pic I showed them — if not better 😂

This is my first time trying stitch braids and I’m DEFINITELY going to try them again. And I’ll definitely be back at JOS Studios 🖤
