Almost 7 years ago, we started dating with no idea where life would take us.

From long-distance phone calls while I was in Africa to adventures across the country and around the world, we've built a life together that neither of us could have imagined. We've made it through a pandemic, moved in together with Libby, and earned our degrees as a nurse and a teacher. We've celebrated incredible milestones and faced challenges we never expected. Just a few months into our relationship, he stood by me through the loss of my dad. Together, we've navigated difficult family struggles and some of life's hardest moments, always finding our way through them side by side.

Through every chapter—the adventures, the heartbreaks, the growth, the ordinary days and the unforgettable ones—we kept choosing each other.

We've built a life filled with laughter, resilience, and love. Not because everything was easy, but because we've always been each other's teammates and biggest cheerleaders.

And on June 6, surrounded by the moss-covered trees and mountains of the North Cascades, with the glow of a campfire outside our cozy cabin, my best friend asked me to keep choosing him forever.
