Rollenbilder haben in unserer Gesellschaft einen tief verankerten, evolutionären Hintergrund, der noch heute großen Einfluss darauf nimmt, was wir als maskulin und feminin ansehen. Dies gilt vor allem auch, was das Thema Kleidung betrifft. Da wir uns in der westlichen Welt allerdings immer weiter von der stereotypischen Rollenverteilung wegbewegen, darf bzw. muss unsere Kleidung genau diesen Wandel mit durchleben.
Dieses Projekt vereint geschlechtsspezifische Stereotype hinsichtlich der Material-, Farb- und
Formwahl und soll so zum Nachdenken anregen. Warum empfinden wir bestimmte Designaspekte als feminin oder maskulin und sagt unsere Kleidung wirklich etwas über unser Geschlecht aus?
Die Modularität des Outfits bietet dem Tragenden die Möglichkeit, die Teile so zu kombinieren, wie er sich am wohlsten in ihnen fühlt. Sie umgeht die Limitierung durch geschlechtliche Stereotype und bietet so die größtmögliche Individualität. by @jot__ef

Fashion Design 3rd sem.
Cristóbal Balenciaga Transmission Project

This project deals with two fundamental human natures, inspired by Hermann Hesse‘s story „Narcissus and Goldmund“. Everything in life comes in opposites, and so it is with the natures of the characters Narcissus and Goldmund, in each of whom I find myself to some extent.

The aim of the design is to capture the essence of the characters, their differences and yet the symbiosis that prevails. by @jot__ef
