i had the idea the other day that while im in oakland id like to see the redwoods.. like a tourist would (ive been away). so yesterday we drove up and as we were parking a big black bus with strange hyper "patriotic" eagles and flags on it drove by. i was a touch bummed because i wanted to get some pictures of it. but after walking and doing a drawing while sitting on a log i came back to the road and there it was waiting with its front door open. also, redwoods are always rad woods. by @jotto_seibold

had to go to @costco (my fake favorite store) today to repair a hearing aid i wrecked by putting a toothpick through its tiny speaker. brought my camera with the busted viewscreen so all shots were like olden day where you cant see what you got until it was "developed". by @jotto_seibold

back visiting in the old oakland home. went into the shack and cleared out morning glory vines and extensive spiderweb networks. did a good sweeping. arranged some things id left behind. ive broke {somehow!} the view screen on my camera. so all the photos are instinctive without known framing certainty. by @jotto_seibold

i made a painting back in march and since then every time i ran across it i thought "oh right, you" and then placed it out of sight. there were parts i enjoyed while making it but never really liked it after it was "done". so i finally decided to add more and see if i could bring it around to some kind of satisfaction. ill let you know in a couple months. slide 1: now slide 2: then slide 3: detail of what i added. by @jotto_seibold

for months my neighbor across the alley (where i paint outdoors) has had an 🚨ALARM🚨 (sometimes two) going off non-stop all day long. even when she was home. a couple weeks ago i tacked a note to her fence {slide 3} and found the next day on my porch her response {slide 4}. so i made a couple signs to hang on the telephone pole next to my studio and facing her place {slides 1 & 2}. funny thing was for the days i spent making these the 🚨ALARM🚨 was off. so now they just sit for possible deployment. by @jotto_seibold

FRESH SIGN a couple years ago i asked my daughter, the esteemed art writer @theadora.tm , whats the best way to get a show in los angeles? she said you need to be a hottie with 100k followers. the advice has always stuck with me. by @jotto_seibold
