The Journal 18 app is live on the App Store.

Search “Journal 18” on the App Store to download it.

We started hearing about our golfers tallying their entries by hand, building their own spreadsheets, typing round after round into Excel just to see whether anything was trending in the right direction. We learned that was the missing piece — there was no way to see your trends.

So after enough of you asked, we got to work on a solution. It took longer than we planned and there were delays along the way, but it’s finally here now.

Scan your journal pages and the app reads your handwritten entries in seconds, pulls out your data, and puts every round in one place — stats, visuals, and full history in a single view. No spreadsheets, no manual math.

The biggest piece is the Insights tab. Every round you log feeds into charts and visuals broken down by summary, approaches, drives, and scoring — your trends laid out so you can actually see them.

Then our AI reads your entries and curates what matters for your game. It will help you discover your misses, your patterns, your biggest opportunities, all drawn from your personal journal entries. It tells you where your strokes are going and what to work on next, so the couple of hours you get to practice go somewhere that moves your score. Insights is part of Premium.

The first round is on us so you can see how it works before deciding anything.

We want to be honest about where we are. This is version one. It will have rough edges, and there will be things you wish it did that it doesn’t do yet. That’s why we want to hear from you. Download it, log a round, and reply to this email with anything broken, confusing, or missing. Every one of those gets read and goes to the development team.

One more thing: if you’re on Android, it’s coming shortly after iOS. We started with iPhone because it’s the large majority of our members and we wanted to iron things out first. We’ll notify everyone when the Android version becomes available.
