$“On the front lines of the bloody campaign to end Jim Crow laws, with blows to his body and a fractured skull to prove it, Mr. Lewis was a valiant stalwart of the civil rights movement and the last surviving speaker from the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.” Rest in Power, Congressman #JohnLewis ✊🏾✨ by @journaltq_$

The 72nd 𝑇𝑢𝑙𝑖𝑝 𝐹𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙 in 𝐴𝑙𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑦 took place virtually this year. The weekend-long festival features a variety of vendors, arts and crafts, musical performances, and of course, thousands of 𝑇𝑢𝑙𝑖𝑝𝑠. @discoveralbany & the city of Albany celebrated by posting tons of content following the #518tuliptracker hashtag. Here’s a video of some of those colorful tulips from this historic festival! 🌷 by @journaltq_

𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭. Thank you to @complexcon & @ariahughes for this lovely interview with two Hip Hop fashion icons, @misahylton & @lilkimthequeenbee 👑👑 by @journaltq_

The fabulous @misahylton said it best, "𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑔𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓." ✨ this also reminded me that sometimes we see people in all their glory and forget that there was a support system behind that person’s success. There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to bring shared goals to fruition. ✨
