I can't believe this is only 1 hour away from Toronto

If you're looking for a relaxing day trip, here's what you need to know before you go:
➡️located in Whitby, Ontario
➡️Nordic style spa with hot tubs, cold plunges, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation areas, guided meditation sessions and a restaurant on site
➡️access to thermal experience is booked in timed entry slots
➡️plan to spend at least 3-5 hours here (you could easily spend more)

Some of us are building a life our mothers and grandmother's never had the chance to experience and that kind of wealth means everything to me. El Nido Tour A: what I'd bring vs rent 🏝️

Bring:
•Water shoes — don't rent, you'll use them on every beach trip after
•Waterproof phone pouch — grab it from Amazon before you go, the ones there cost more and you don't want to risk your phone
This is the one I got from Amazon and worked great! I've been using this for years on all my trips.

•Dry bag — not a must, but if you're bringing expensive camera gear, yes
•Pesos in cash — kayaking costs extra, and bring a little more to tip your guides. They genuinely go out of their way to make sure you have the best day
•Protein bars if you're vegetarian — lunch is very meat heavy

why everyone's talking about this pumpkin patch 🎃
Maan Farms.... this place is MASSIVE. pumpkin house, a petting zoo with highland cows (first time seeing them in person!!), creepy blood wine bags, wine tasting, restaurants, unique foods, bouncey trampoline, a corn maze, and photo spots everywhere. This was the biggest pumpkin patch I've ever seen and I was so impressed how much work @maanfarms put into this!!!

I went back to this cafe 3 times in one trip 🥞
Dayō in Coron got me with the souffle pancakes topped with gold leaf — and kept me with the kittens wandering around while you eat. Mango smoothie + ocean view didn't hurt either.
📍 Dayō Cafe, Nueva St, Coron, Palawan, Philippines
🕢 Open 7:30am–8pm daily
I went for brunch every time
💡 the souffle pancakes are the signature order; they're worth the hype. I got the blueberry cheese cake one!

Saving you from the "where should we eat debate in Tofino" 🌊

🥑 Moss and Mylk
Everything was SO fresh, healthy and 💯 vegan. Their menu is inspired by seasons and built around local ingredients. Their syrups and sauces are house-made.

🐟Shelter Restaurant
One of my favorite meals during the trip and their chocolate dessert was to die for. I'd recommend making reservations ahead of time to avoid a long wait.

☕️Rhino Coffee
A viral coffee shop that all the tourists head to.

🌮Tacofino
Go for the tacos and history. The OG Tacofino started here as a food truck. Also the line ups are insane but worth the tacos and the house made chips and guacamole.

Looking for a turquoise lake hike in BC? But don't want to fight the crowds?

Add Cheakamus Lake to your itinerary!

While Joffres Lake gets A LOT of attention (and for good reason). Cheakamus Lake is just as beautiful. It has crystal clear glacier water, mountain views and a peaceful forest trail that feels like a hidden gem.

📍Cheakamus Lake Trail, Whistler BC
👞distance 14km round trip
⛰️difficulty: moderate (very minimal elevation)
⏰️ time: around 4-5 hours depending on pace and stops

Tips:
➡️ go early
➡️Pack snacks and water
➡️you need a pass for certain days so check before you go!
➡️download @alltrails

Some places you have to see to believe 🌊

Kayaking through the lagoons of El Nido was the highlight of Palawan for me — limestone cliffs on every side, water so clear it doesn't look real.

📍 El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
🚤 Tour A (Big Lagoon + Small Lagoon) lunch + snorkel gear included, plus a small eco fee
💡 book the early tour — the lagoons get busy by midday and the morning light is better
