🏁 NEW SEASON. NEW RACE RIG. 🏁

As the racing season winds down, it’s time to rebuild, refresh and get the bikes ready for what’s next. 🔧

Here’s @jovan13speed ‘S new training & race rig for next season — a Specialized Epic Evo with a fresh KTM-inspired orange fade into metallic rainbow-dust black, finished with white decals to make the colours pop. 🧡🖤

🔥 @maxxisbike rubber
🔧 Full suspension revived & reworked
⚙️ Race-ready setup from top to bottom

For now, we’re testing the most grip-focused setup — @maxxis_service_center_sg Aspen AT front & rear. 🛞💨

Once testing is done, we’ll swap to some faster-rolling options and see what works best for Joven.

Grip or speed? Maxxis has something for every rider and every trail. 🚵‍♂️

Race POV📸

Wasn't in the best form, I was still recovering from sickness and this race wasn't really a top priority, but it was a FUN one. Unexpected tactics and fury of attacks is what makes racing SO ENJOYABLE😆.

Anyways:
No podiums for the day but we're safe and we move on from here. W🔥

"In first place, we have Jovan Soh!" 🏆

Hearing those words as he walked toward the podium, the crowd saw the glamour of gold. But behind the medal were years of unseen blood, sweat, and tears.

Jovan’s road to the top step was anything but smooth:
💥 First Major Crash: Stripped away his chance at the 2025 National Championships.
💥 Second Major Crash: Hit just two months ago, recovery was slow, training was halted at a crucial time.
When everything felt uncertain, Jovan didn't back down. Driven by pure grit and tenacity, he fought on to claim his moment. We know exactly what this achievement took and meant to you, Mummy and Daddy could not be prouder. Keep soldiering on, Champ! The journey continues.. 🔥💪 Congrats Son! Youth XCE National Champion!!!!

Really grateful to the people and coaches who was part of his journey! Thankkk youuu...❤️ by @jovan13speed

MTB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP🔥

I really can't believe it. Winning the XCE and 2nd in XCO, really extrodinary. After months of hardwork and dedication, it finally paid off. I rejected Mcdonalds and a lot of unhealthy food, focusing on my training and nutrition. In the race, I just told myself that I was ready when in fact, I was quite nervous. 170bpm at the start line is NOT normal😂.
But in the end, my body just went into autopilot and I did what I do best, pushing hard and giving it my all. I really don't know how to feel. My mind still hasn't registered the feeling yet and I don't know what to say. I'm absolutely speechlesss.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, from my friends, aunties and uncles, to my school, thank you for believing in me. Thank you to all my coaches who have been with me throughout my journey, supporting me and helped me in my training and nutrition.
I can't forget the most important people, My family. They have supported me throughout my ups and down, giving me support and encouragement, I really couldn't have done this without them.

This is only one milestone in my journey. I will continue to train hard and push forward for my bigger goals. This will not be the last one.🫡

Back at SOE 2026💥 It was a really well organised race my @singaporeopenenduro . I really enjoyed the race. Sadly, I had a crash at 7 drops (last photo) losing me a lot of time, but luckily no injury😮‍💨(hopefully). Super fun to meet familiar faces and enjoy the race with the community. Everyone was very friendly, both racers and the organising crew, huge thanks to everyone who made this event happen.

Thanks @thisisattitudebikes for supporting me in the race and ultimately coming away with the 2nd Place in the U-17 Cat and OVERALL TEAM CHAMPIONS🔥. This also could not be possible without my coach, @elyassssssss , thank you.

Vlog 4 - "Finish Line, Where?🤣" - 3 May

Tampin Jamboree 2026 was a blast. Had fun riding in the the mud and chasing whoever was infront of me. The race was fairly flat and loose, needing me to put better focus into cornering and not losing traction. Luckily, my bike was equipped with maxxis severe tires which allowed me have better traction and low rolling resistance in the various sectors of the trail. 👌

End result:
128/822 Total Riders
15/32 U19 Riders

Sick race 🔥 everyone and it was nice seeing fellow singaporeans there participating in the event too.

VSG Clarke Quay Crit - Series 2
4th overall in B Div. It was a good race, although having a few crashes, I recovered fast and pushed hard to secure fourth. A mechanical in finals was unfortunate but we push on. Thank you @findwally
for helping me with the mechanical during the race. Thanks you everyone who was there to support.👌

A really good race organised by @virtualcyclingsg . Really technical and really fun. W course🔥

For #teamABracing, off-road disciplines will always be our forte 🌲🚵 — that’s where we belong, and where our roots are strongest.

But when the cat’s away… the mouse will play 😄

While the main team was in Taichung, Taiwan 🇹🇼 for international trade shows and factory visits, a small strike force of just two riders showed up at @singaporecyclingfederation Track Series Round 1 to have some fun on unfamiliar territory — the track.

Undernumbered, two against the world, lining up against full squads and big teams, the boys didn’t back down. Riding solo in their respective categories, they held their ground, fought hard, and proved that strong riders adapt anywhere — even when trading dirt for tarmac 🏁🔥

It wasn’t about dominance.
It was about experience, effort, and enjoying the race.

Solid results, great lessons, and a strong early-season build-up as we prepare to regroup as a full team for Round 2.

The goal?
Get the squad back together, race as one unit again, and see what exciting moments — and achievements — await next 🚴‍♂️💪

Off-road is home.
But racing is racing. taken in Jurong East Stadium by @jovan13speed

15 Feb, KOM Cameron Challange. It was a super good experience. 65km, 1000m of elevation and really cold air 🥶. Fighting with U19, I knew it was going to be a hard race to fight, however I was just going to do my best. Thank you to AttitudeBikes for preparing my bike with Maxxis Tyres. Thank you Podium Performance for helping me leading up to this race❤️.

"Team ride for a dream, right?" - Vlog 1

8 Feb, Sunday Team Ride. Have you wondered if a mountain bike could keep up with roadies? Well, they definitely can. Nothing is impossible. My weekly streak of catching the sunrise is this unbroken since 3 weeks ago. Hope to keep it that way🙃
