Happy new year!

🦎 We are starting 2026 with the first guest mix of the year by @jovan528hz Stay tuned for weekly sets scheduled for the rest of the year! Happy listening ✨

CORE SEQUENCE 030: JOVAN

Jovan is a Miami-based DJ and curator whose work explores the ritualistic and meditative power of techno. His approach to DJing is rooted in repetition, restraint, and energy flow using rhythm as a signal rather than a spectacle. Each set is designed as a transmission: gradual, hypnotic, and deeply connected to the moment it unfolds.

As the founder of Romanticos Collective, Jovan has spent years cultivating spaces where music functions as a shared ritual—prioritizing presence, sound integrity, and emotional depth. This curatorial perspective informs his DJ sets, which favor long-form storytelling, subtle tension, and an inward pull that invites listeners to disconnect from the external world and enter a collective state.

For Jovan, techno is not just music. It’s a language of frequency and feeling. A signal meant to be felt as much as it is heard.

Today marks one year since @jovan528hz and I started working together to bring auditory experiences to Miami with @romanticos_collective. One year since Jovan opened his arms and allowed me to be part of this journey with romanticos, which was already a staple collective having a reputation for intimate parties that you didn’t want to miss. 11 parties this last year, in a city where all odds are stacked against you, where techno still struggles to thrive, we made it happen, not without its challenges which we’ve learned from. This next year will be a good one..

Much love to my brother Jovan

“ready to go down to the underground, I said the underground! Where your body takes flight and the DJ makes it right! The underground baby!” MUSIC IS THE ANSWER🌹

this clip was from a crazy warehouse gig we did july 26 2025.
Talk about an underground party, people use the word for everything but few actually have done it. this was it!

Looking forward to bring that @romanticos_collective energy to @domicile.miami . 😎🫵🫶 by @jovan528hz

Yeah… that was unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who came out and danced with us ‘til the sun cracked the sky. The messages we’ve received since the show — telling us how much it meant to you — that’s the fuel that keeps us moving forward.

Endless love to all the artists. Every set was its own universe. @djprimbeats @grantsabadash @akabonisu @abeille____
And a special thank you to @amotikmusic — your Miami debut was everything we hoped for and more. We felt your energy, and we hope you felt ours right back from the floor.

To our team — none of this happens without you. Your effort, your time, your care… we see it all, and we’re grateful to be on this ride together.

We cant forget the star of the show one of the best sound systems crew in Miami @shogunaudio you are a beast thank you for transmitting the energy to all of us 🔊🔊🔊

On to the next. But this one stays with us.

I always hear people say time flies, and honestly, it's true.
Someday you'll want to spread your wings and fly solo, and that's more than okay - it's exactly what I'm raising you to do. Until then, I'm freezing this moment in time for you to look back on.
