Monday night range session. Told my wife one small bucket, back by bath time. Brought my 6-year-old "just to watch." He watched for about four seconds. I hit 4 balls. He hit 36 and asked for another bucket. Bath time happened without us. Follow for more dad golf. Comment RANGE if your range sessions have also been taken over by a smaller golfer. Monday morning putting lesson with my 4-year-old. Lag putting: get it close to the cup. She heard "get it close" and picked the dog. Stopped dead against his ribs. Honestly better speed control than I had all weekend. Follow for more dad golf. Comment LAG if your lag putting has ever been outplayed by a preschooler. Sunday night film review. Every putt I missed today came up short. My swing coach is six, and his only note was "hit it harder, Daddy." Took his advice on the hallway green. Now I miss long. Progress. Follow for more dad golf. Comment MISS if your miss changes depending on who's coaching. Clocks fell back last night. Free extra hour. The kids spent it awake at 5:04, and the after-work range bucket now ends at sunset, 4:58. Bought the headlamp. Hitting it by sound until March. Halloween night. Two miles of trick-or-treating with a candy bag on my shoulder like a carry bag. Logged it as cardio for my Sunday tee time. The sugar crash has a 6:45 a.m. tee time too. Follow for more dad golf. Comment SUNDAY if your tee time just got negotiated by a dinosaur. Asked my kid what he's going as for Halloween. He said "you." Visor, one glove, ten minutes of practice swings, a heavy sigh at the ball, and a promise to be home by noon. Can't argue with the research. Follow for more golf squeezed in around the kids. Comment DAD if your kid has your pre-shot routine down better than you do. #golfdad #dadlife #halloweencostume #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #golflife #boydad #golfswing #amateurgolf by @jovantemeans
Friday night. Kids asleep. Thirty-foot lag putt down the hallway. Speed was perfect. Line was the nursery door. I'm not going in there for a golf ball. That's a three-putt. Follow for more dad golf. Comment LAG if your best putting green has a bedtime. #golfdad #dadgolf #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #dadlife #puttingpractice #lagputting #golfmemes #amateurgolf #golfdads by @jovantemeans
Sunday scramble is at 7. So Friday I'm a five-star lunch service and the laundry department. It's not chores, it's a deposit. Follow for more dad golf. Comment SUNDAY if you're already paying for this weekend's tee time. #golfdad #dadgolf #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #dadlife #golflife #sundaygolf #golfmemes #amateurgolf #golfdads by @jovantemeans
Took the 6-year-old to the range. Before my first swing he says "aim left, it goes right." Didn't ask him. He was right. He's been right for three years. Follow + comment MISS and tell me your miss. The kid already knows it. #golfdad #dadlife #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #drivingrange #slice #dadgolf #golfwithkids #golflife #rangesession #toddlerdad by @jovantemeans
Small bucket after work. Nine bucks. Told her 6:15. Hit 40 balls in 11 minutes like the range was closing in 12. Walked in at 6:14. Nobody's asking about my swing thoughts. Follow + comment RANGE if your range sessions have a curfew too. #golfdad #dadlife #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #drivingrange #rangesession #dadgolf #afterworkgolf #golflife #toddlerdad #golfwithkids Sounds: "Baby Laugh" by reinsamba (CC BY 3.0) via Wikimedia Commo by @jovantemeans
Planned a quiet 6:10 tee time. Did not plan on the clubs having opinions. New tee time 8:15, party of two, one of us in pajamas. Follow + comment SUNDAY if your tee time has a plus-one now too. #golfdad #dadlife #weekendgolfer #golfhumor #sundaygolf #dadgolf #golfwithkids #teetime #golflife #toddlerdad #earlytee Sounds: "Baby Laugh" by reinsamba (CC BY 3.0) via Wikimedia Commons by @jovantemeans
6:40 AM. Toddler had about 90 seconds of oatmeal left, so I got one lag putt down the hallway. Two feet short. I'll take it. Then the spoon hit the floor and the round was over. 🏌️‍♂️ Follow for more dad golf + comment LAG if your practice sessions have a toddler timer too. #golfdad #dadlife #golfhumor #weekendgolfer #puttingpractice #lagputting #dadsofinstagram #golflife #amateurgolf #golfmemes by @jovantemeans
