5 whole years! It has been such a journey but I can say without a doubt I love us, I love you, and I love this family we are creating❤️God really answered my prayers when he brought me you! I wouldn’t want anyone else to live this life with, I’m glad to have you by my side. I know there’s a long road ahead but Gods got us! Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing, wonderful, beautiful mother I know! You have been so strong and courageous through these past 18 months and I am so proud of the person and mother you’ve become! You never fail to amaze me and I’m honored to be your husband. My son David ended up going into surgery around 10:15. He got back up to the room around 1:45 and everything went well! The surgery went as well as it could’ve been! God is so good and now we wait for him to recover as well as waiting to see how his breathing improves. We appreciate everyone’s prayers. Today at 7:30, David will be having his surgery. The surgery he is having is called diaphragm plication in which they will take his paralyzed diaphragm and pin it down to hopefully allow his lung to fully expand. If this is the case, his breathing should slow down. Unfortunately there can be some risks going through with this surgery however, we have reached a point where there is nothing more the pulmonologist can do. We have done everything possible to help his lungs such as CPAP, high flow, steroids, inhalers and more; however, his body is not reacting to any of those treatments. We are praying that this will help and we can see improvements. Prayers for all of us are greatly appreciated. Even through all of this, David is still one happy boy💙 by @jovonton

On July 26 at 10:32 am, Tia and I welcomed our sweet little boy into the world. David Sancho Diaz was born weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 19 3/4 inches long.
Just 12 short hours after having him, they ended up taking him to the NICU due to fluid in his lungs and tachypnea (shallow breathing). This is common in premature babies who are struggling to transition from the womb to the outside world. As of right now, David is still in the NICU and the doctors have ran a lot of test to see why he is still struggling with these symptoms. Sadly, we have not gotten any answers from doctors and the best thing they can tell us right now is he needs more time for his lungs to develop.
We know that God has got him and this whole situation in His hands. We just ask for continued prayers during these testing times. We are praying that David can come home soon! by @jovonton
