It’s human nature to want more and more and more from life. But, do we ever take time to really appreciate the things God has already blessed us with.

The story of the children of Israel is a perfect example of why Gratitude is really important. In the book of Exodus, God showed his miracles by separating the Red Sea and freeing the children of Israel from slavery, yet they complained and complained about food and water, and some point even insisting to go back. It was for this reason God punished the Israelites by not showing them the promise land for 40 years.

Don’t miss your promise land. Always be grateful for whatever God has blessed you with.

I learnt about this activity whilst I was recovering from my ACL tear. I used to play barefoot a lot of times growing up but I had little to no understanding of the benefits of being grounded.

Grounding has got so much health benefits that people don’t know about.

1. It reduces inflammation

2. It reduces pain

3. It reduces stress

4. It improves your mental health

5. Improves your sleep

6. Improves your immune function

7. Improves foot functionality

If you’re dealing with chronic pain, injuries and sickness, try doing this activity for 5 mins every morning.

Our trust in God is questioned in times of adversity. Our trust in God is questioned when life isn’t going as we planned it to be, when you’re struggling in your health, when you loose a loved one, when you get laid off from your job, when people turn their backs on you, when you aren’t getting good grades, when life overwhelms you, this is when your trust in God is tested.

It’s in these very moments that you need to learn how to let go, and let God do the handling. Psalm 23 says, ‘Though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff comfort me.’

God is with us in every single moment of our lives. In the good times, and in tough times. And whatever it is you’re going through, he will seize you through.

Many people in our society today have got a victim mindset. People enjoy blaming others and life circumstance on others usually those close to them. You blame your teacher for your bad grades, your coach for your poor performance, you blame your dad because he wasn’t there to support you,

While all of your points are valid, the truth of the matter is nothing changes, until you switch your mindset from seeing yourself as a victim to seeing yourself as a victor. Everything thing you are going through is divine. If God didnt want you to go through all that, he wouldn’t have permitted it, but God knows we only grow in time of adversity.

Take the chip off of your shoulders, don’t live life bitter, angry, upset, frustrated over what people did to you, over who didn’t show up for you, all that you went through didn’t happen to you, but for you.

Say no more to being a victim, and become a victor👑
