Part 2: After serving twice consecutively, I decided normal was boring and I took a risk 😂, it was worth it though. I ran for the office of the president , well ,I lost 🫠 but the experience and the lessons were definitely worth it. I’m forever grateful to my support systems in school. I can’t tag all but @dr_mufasa_x @adams_yahaya_hong @babylonn_pt @iam_pioneer , I appreciate you all so much.

After losing , of course I didn’t stopppp. Fast forward to some months later , I had two appointments: one from the faculty president and the second from Borno state Students association.

In the faculty I was appointed as the SA to the president on community and Health outreach and here we have it , my first work in the office. I was also appointed as the chairman for this particular outreach and I’m particularly grateful to the UMAHSSA president for this opportunity to serve.

Diary of a final year physiotherapy student :
I’ve always wanted to be part of a movement, part of something that makes an impact, creates change and leaves people feeling blessed and fulfilled.

In my 300 level i decided to be involved in departmental politics and that’s where my story began. I served two consecutive times at my departmental level and once at national level. Every experience shaped me to who I am now.

Growing up, one thing I’ve known about myself is that I’ve been drawn to service, service in any form, I’ve always wanted to ensure I have an impact in my space. One of the many reasons why I love to volunteer or maybe why I also got involved in school politics ( I loveeeee it )

I’ve always believed that one of the greatest privileges in life is being able to make someone else’s life a little better.
Whether it’s through healthcare, volunteering, or simply showing up where I’m needed, and I guess I’m one step in , So joining Rotaract wasn’t just about becoming part of another organization it was about finding a community of people who believe that lasting change begins with ordinary people who choose to care.
