In White Wounds, Joyantee Raina documents the lasting impact of industrial shrimp farming on coastal communities in Bangladesh. As rising salinity transforms fertile land, women are left to bear the physical, emotional, and economic consequences of environmental change.

Through intimate documentary photography, the series reveals how climate change, labour, and gender inequality are deeply connected. Telling the stories of those who remain when both the land and livelihoods begin to disappear.
