For years, I’ve battled with my weight and body image. Last week triggered something inside of me that I thought I had buried. For days, it felt like all the work I’d done mentally had disappeared, and I was back to feeling like I didn’t belong.

But what tried to break me has motivated me to become a stronger, more resilient woman. I’m reminding myself that a hard moment doesn’t erase how far I’ve come.

To every person battling body image issues and struggling with self-worth: I see you. If you feel like you aren’t enough, please know that you are. You deserve love, respect, joy, and every opportunity to live fully. Stand boldly in who you are. Your worth doesn’t change with your weight or someone else’s opinion.

The same way I’m proud of you, I’m proud of myself. Honestly, I don’t say that enough. I’m proud of everything I’ve overcome. I’m proud that even when life gets heavy, I keep finding the courage to show up for myself.

Gentle Reminder… You can have a hard day and still be proud of your progress. I’m here, and I belong. So do you. 🙏🏾🤞🏾🫶🏾

Happiest of birthdays to my GOAT, @keith_lee125 🎉❤️

You have inspired me and directly impacted my life. There isn’t a podcast or interview you’ll hear from me where I don’t mention your name. Your journey helped me believe there was room for mine.

I appreciate all that you do for food critics, food influencers, and businesses, both small and big. The impact you make reaches far beyond food.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re rooting for you!

I pray this birthday brings you the same joy and love you’ve poured into so many others. God bless you, and have an amazing day! 🤞🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾 by @joycelynlashae
