These are 7 small, yet impactful things that helped me get my spark back.

I started deliberately coming back to myself... through forgiveness, mindset, emotions, my body, pleasure, self-care and allowing myself to dream again.

I not only started to feel alive again.

But I remembered who I am 🤍

What's one thing that helps you bring your spark back? by @joydelisha

The path that got me here 👇

1. REGULATING
Coming back to safety when everything felt uncertain.
Instead of immediately trying to figure out my life, I learned to calm my nervous system and come back to myself first.

2. RECLAIMING
Starting to ask the questions I had stopped asking.
What do I actually want? What makes me feel alive? Who am I outside of the roles I've been playing?

3. RISING
Making choices based on who I am, instead of who I thought others needed me to be. Choosing the things that felt true to me... even when I didn't know exactly where they would lead.

This is how I went from feeling completely lost in life

to remembering who TF I am, reclaiming my power, and rebuilding a life that actually feels like mine 🤍

I'm sharing the journey here as I walk it: the lessons, the messy bits, and everything I'm learning along the way.

Are you on the same journey? This space is for you 🫶

1. Identify your most disempowering pattern.
2. Identify to whom or what you’re giving your power away.
3. Notice where you’re still waiting for permission.
4. Write down what you’re emotionally addicted to.
5. Make a list of the ways you’re keeping yourself small.
6. Audit your standards versus your actions.
7. Audit your dreams versus your self-talk
8. Say out loud the real reasons you’re not where you want to be.
9. Tell yourself what you’d tell someone you love.
10. Rest without needing to "earn" it.
11. Dance by yourself until you’re out of breath.
12. Sit with the guilt instead of trying to fix it.
13. Spend an hour without your phone.
14. Go somewhere alone you’d normally only go with someone else.
15. Do something you’re “bad” at, without even trying to be good at it.
16. Learn a new skill that makes you feel powerful.
17. Write down what you’d do if nobody could be disappointed by your choices.
18. Let yourself cry.
19. Take yourself on a date.
20. Write a letter to the version of you who kept going.
21. Write down everything you’re no longer willing to tolerate.
22. Spend a day making decisions based on what you genuinely want.
23. Notice every time you say “I should”, and ask yourself, “Do I actually f*cking want to?”
24. Pick one behaviour you want to change, and start today.
25. Sit in silence for 60 minutes.
26. Write down the dreams you stopped talking about.
27. Forgive yourself for something you’re still holding against yourself.
28. Do one thing you’ve been waiting for someone else to do with you.
29. Ask yourself how your pain has served you, and what you no longer need it for.
30. Write down the life you’d choose if you stopped living by other people’s expectations.

It’s time to slay some imaginary dragons and come back to your truth:

You are a powerful being, and nothing outside of you can truly stop you from living the life of your dreams.

Comment which of these are you going to implement today 👇

The truth is...

I didn't come here feeling powerful.

I came here after heartbreak. After trauma.
After realizing how many years I had spent abandoning myself.

Sp from the outside, my life looked fine. But inside, I felt lost, disconnected, and emptionally exhausted.

I had spent so much energy trying to understand, fix, hold everything together and make things work that somewhere along the way, I lost connection with myself.

And eventually, staying disconnected from myself became more painful than facing what I had been avoiding.

That's what brought me here.

I came here to learn how to be with myself again.

✨️ To rebuild trust in my body.
✨️ To stop overriding what I knew to be true.
✨️ To remember who I was underneath the survival.

Because healing isn't just about recovering from what happened. It's about ending the habit of leaving yourself. Again and again and again.

And while I still have a long way to go, one thing has become clear:

The more I choose myself in the small moments, the less lost I feel.

🖤 Follow of you are also done abandoning yourself, and ready to rebuild with an open heart and unbreakable standards

Constantly adjusting yourself to other people’s needs can make you lose touch with your own.

You start filtering everything through:
Will this upset them? Will they understand? What will they think? What do they need from me?

Until you barely ask yourself: What do I actually want?

The way back isn’t always one big, dramatic decision.

Sometimes it’s the tiny moments where you stop adjusting.

You say what you mean without softening it, you let someone be disappointed, you stop overexplaining.

Small choices... But every time you choose yourself, you teach yourself:

I can trust me

And eventually, you stop building your life around keeping everyone else comfortable, and start building one that actually feels like yours. 🤍

For a long time, I was really good at being the martyr.

Carrying more than was mine... Putting my own dreams on hold... Trying to make things work.

Being strong when I didn’t feel like I had another option.

And somewhere along the way, I got so used to being the woman who could handle everything that I forgot to ask myself:

"Do I actually want to keep living this way?"

These are some of the resources, practices and experiences that helped me shift that.

They helped me see myself differently. Feel differently & choose differently.

Slowly, I stopped treating my own life like something I was meant to support from the sidelines.

I started becoming the woman who gets to decide what happens next.

Which one of these are you curious to explore?

I’ll be honest, this feels vulnerable to share.

Part of me wishes I was much further by now. That I could share a brilliant “look what I built from the ashes” success story.

But I’m not there yet.

It’s only been 10 months.

So I’m learning to give myself the space and grace to be exactly where I am... still rebuilding, still figuring things out, still becoming.

And maybe that’s what makes the journey worth sharing too.

Not just the polished ending, but the uncertain, very human middle 🤍

There are moments in life where being strong doesn’t feel like a choice.

You’re heartbroken, overwhelmed, trying to make sense of what happened... and somehow, you still have to keep going.

And if that’s where you are right now, I hope you know this:

I’m proud of you.

Not because you should have been able to handle it all. Also not because you were supposed to be strong.

But because you got through something that asked more of you than you ever thought you could give.

And one day, when you finally get to put some of that weight down, you’ll realise just how much you carried.

You don’t have to keep carrying it to prove that you’re strong.

You already know you are 🤍

So, let this be your reminder: you’ve carried enough. You don’t have to prove your strength anymore.

I have felt stuck for years, waiting for things to change around me.

But I was actually stuck in unhelpful narratives about my life. In victimhood. In old patterns of overriding my own dreams. In beliefs that I had to wait for permission, or for other people to be ready, before I could move forward.

And then I realised something:

We tend to stay in what’s familiar because it gives us a sense of safety. Whether it’s actually right for us or not.

So I started making choices that felt unfamiliar. Choices that no longer entertained my old patterns.

Because I had literally had enough of that.

And something unexpected happened.

I started finding peace in the unfamiliar.

My body feels more relaxed. My heart is open. I’m travelling. I’m making choices for myself instead of constantly putting myself last.

I’m still figuring out where all of this is taking me.

But I’m no longer waiting for my life to change around me.

I’m changing the direction of my life myself.

🤍 Share this with someone that can use the reminder. Life is waiting on the other side of "that's enough of that"

1. What do I get out of staying exactly where I am?

2. What do I truly want, but consistently behave as if I don't?

3. What am I protecting myself from that is also keeping me stuck?

4. What unhelpful stories about my life and relationships do I keep telling myself?

5. Where am I making myself the victim of a choice I am still making?

6. Where am I hoping someone will give me something I forget to give myself?

7. Where am I betraying my own standards to avoid losing connection?

8. What would I have to admit if I stopped making excuses for them?

9. What would I have to admit if I stopped making excuses for myself?

10. What am I calling loyalty that is actually a lack of self-respect?

11. Where am I the common denominator in a pattern I keep blaming on other people?

12. What do I keep explaining because I don't trust that my “no” is enough?

13. What would I do differently if I trusted myself to deal with the potential consequences?

14. What version of me am I still performing because I don't know who I am without it?

15. Who would I be if I no longer needed to be understood or accepted by everyone?

16. Where am I asking for permission instead of making a decision?

17. What am I holding onto because letting go would mean admitting it wasn't what I thought it was?

18. What am I sacrificing that I've convinced myself doesn't matter, while it really does?

19. Whose life am I currently living?

20. If someone I loved was behaving the way I am, what would I tell her?

Because you can't heal what you're not aware of. And this isn't about blaming yourself for your patterns. It's about taking responsibility for them.

Self-blame only gives you another reason to turn against yourself — and that's exactly what we're trying to break free from.

Awareness creates choice. Self-responsibility creates change. 🤍

I thought I’d still be happily married by now.

But honestly, that was never the problem.

I felt stuck because I had left so little room for myself.

I kept trying to become who others needed me to be, and less and less of who I actually am.

I kept telling myself my dreams, my needs, my desires would come later.

Until, after years of doing that, I couldn’t recognise myself anymore.

I was exhausted. I felt stuck. And I knew I couldn’t continue like that.

So I chose myself.

At the time, it was tough. And it came with a lot of very real investments — financially, emotionally and otherwise.

But those investments have helped me find more peace, more grace, and more of myself again.

I’m still on my way.

But every cent I’ve invested in myself so far has been worth it 🤍 by @joydelisha

I have felt stuck for so long.

And how frustrating, because I was on the right timeline... Doing everything that looked good on paper & even receiving plenty of compliments along the way.

So why didn’t it feel right?

I’ll tell you why.

Because we’re not meant to live someone else’s life. Period.

So, maybe being “on track” isn’t about ticking all the right boxes.

Maybe it’s about waking up and actually recognising the life you’re living as your own.

So here’s to choosing what’s right for you. Even when it doesn’t look right on paper🤍
