Jane and I spent our annual sisters’ trip in Orange County, California this year. We went to Dana Point with no plans other than…unplug. As close as we are, running a business and raising kids together- so tightly intertwined, this yearly tradition allows us a chance to catch up on all the things, relax, reset and get excited about what’s to come.

Our intention is always to extend the final days of Summer (not 98 degree days like it’s been back home- ya know, 78 or so 😉) so Cali had just the right vibe.

The Waldorf Astoria here exceeded our expectations- everyone was soooo nice and we met the coolest people on property. I almost had a foot race against a man at the clubhouse- but he withdrew and I still won $100 (it’s a great story)… 😆 Jane and I became regulars at @bourbonsteakoc (Peyton, the GM was from St. Louis so we are now besties for life, and the hostesses were the greatest- even started waving 👋🏽 at each other every time we passed in the hallway heading to our room 😂).

The spa services were second to none, and Erin who did our hair was from Kansas- so we felt the Midwestern love everywhere we went. It’s safe to say we never left the resort except to have dinner in Laguna Beach on the very last night. This restaurant was PHENOMENAL.

At @selannesteak the scallops and sticky toffee pudding were the best we ever had! Ohhhh, we will be back! If someone can find a way to ship me that dessert, I’m here for ideas. Walking into year 46 feeling incredibly blessed. 🙌🏽❤️

I have every reason to thank God for sustaining me and growing me in all areas. I’m learning + embracing each part of this life…from my beautiful family, the bestest friends, a career I’m obsessed with, and health that sustains me.

🎂Joy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! @joyfully_bold to my most wonderful and precious friend. I am so incredibly thankful for our friendship and for all of the life we have been fortunate enough to experience together.

There are friends, and then there are those rare, divine connections that feel like they were placed in your life for a reason. I have always believed our friendship is one of those, and I am so thankful the Lord gave me you.

I’m grateful for every memory, every season, every laugh, every hard moment we’ve walked through, and for all of the beautiful adventures still ahead of us.

You are deeply loved, incredibly special, and truly a JOY to everyone who has the privilege of knowing you.

I have loved this year in soccer so much.

This 2013 ECNL-RL AFA Fillies team has been such a gift to our family. I couldn’t have done it all this year without you @leannacapstick and @scs.12.12

All the carpools and road trips will forever be some of my favorite moments along this soccer journey so far ⚽️

Kaya and Maddie played so well on offense in today’s match. Great goal Maddog!!!! And the way Nora has stepped up as a defender on this team, helping save countless goals and put immense pressure against tough opponents with her speed and physicality has been so fun to watch! I couldn’t help but share today.

Thanks for coming to watch cousins Harper and Hendrix @rini_tin_tin and the visit from Uncle Carey and Jessica today all the way from California was just the icing on the cake.

I became a Bears fan back when I moved to Chicago in 1998. The energy was unlike anything I’d experienced as a kid from St. Louis when it came to football 🏈
I couldn’t fully express it yet though because we still had a hometown team that I loved. I was somewhat torn. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Side note: This is also someone who cheered on our St. Louis Rams as a season ticket holder and tailgater for years! In 1999 STL won one Super Bowl as the best show on turf with a huge victory over the Titans. Then, we went back to the big game in 2001 to lose to the Patriots. Deflate gate anyone? 😏

I even traveled down to New Orleans to participate in the Rams Super Bowl festivities that year. What a fun 🤩 time fo the Lou!!!! But then they left us.
And I will cheer for anyone other than the LA Rams.

In ‘03 I started visiting Soldier Field and was instantly hooked. This was old Soldier Field by the way with the rickety seats and aged feel- the stadium was even smaller back then!

I remember watching in the stands as the Bears played the Browns, making an amazing comeback to win a regular season game in ‘03 as sleet and snow came down. We were covered in blankets, while drinking flaming hot chocolate JUST to keep the shivers away…

Win or lose, Bears culture runs Chicago wide. It’s the one sport and team that everyone in the city can get behind unanimously and its culture runs as deep and old as anything in the NFL does. From Ditka’s to Lou Malnati’s, Weiner Circle to Goose Island, this Chicagoan (from 1998-2007) will remain a fan!!!!

The Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams era hits different and I’m here for it.

So, onto the next and Bear DOWN!!!! 🐻⬇️

Today was a very special day and a long time coming. Our oldest son, Victor Moses, may be non-verbal, but it is evident over his entire life just how much he loves the Lord.

He is always happy and the hardest worker I know. Vic loves prayer and to say “Amen”. He rocks and comes alive when praise & worship comes on, and always willingly sits to listen to the Bible and sermons with us.

Vic began watching baptism videos incessantly on YouTube with eyes afire and smiling from ear to ear after his younger sister was baptized a few years back. It was then that the Holy Spirit started preparing me for the fact that Vic’s time was coming soon.

It’s an interesting scenario when you have a child who can’t speak for himself and express his own desires to be baptized, but God laid it on our hearts (dad and I both). As the final baptism was presented @twinriversstl we took advantage of the opportunity.

It was a beautiful baptism service after church was over where all music and lights were turned off/down + all of our family and friends were able to gather on stage with arms outstretched in prayer as he took this step.

My heart is full and I’m so appreciative for each and every person that showed up + those that couldn’t make it but held us up in your thoughts and prayers today.

Victor is so full of JOY on this day, I can’t even describe it. He want you to know he says “Amen!” 😭😁

Ooh wee! The past four years have been a whirlwind. So many blessings…too many to count. A lot of pressure and overwhelm, hard times and sadness. A lot of moments where I wasn’t sure I could make it through. I’ve had surprises, unexpected and beautiful friendships (new and old)… I am learning and appreciating the steadfast nature of God on a whole new level.

And you know what? I’m still standing, I’m smiling and I have JOY unspeakable. Not only am I still here, but I’m stronger.

Today marks the one-year anniversary of closing on my very own house! Gahhhhh!!! 😁 Through divorce, single momming it and running a business? I’m thriving…praise be to GOD! He gets all the glory.

I can’t help but reflect on how I truly didn’t think this was possible for me. Deep down inside I thought I was being punked when I handed over my first check to the builder. But I moved forward anyway. Through the doubts and all the fears. I prayed, fasted, stayed on my knees in submission to the One who directed me here- I’ve had many sleepless nights and STILL! He 👆🏽 saw me through.
I’m still not sure how it all happened, but it did.

I had the opportunity to pray with my project manager as he waited on a healing(which he received!), my family wrote Scripture on the beams of this house and anointed our dwelling with oil- honoring the One from whom it all flows.

Although I wasn’t posting to social for a few years, I documented it all. And I was feeling too grateful not to share the recap.

And the good news is…if He did it for me? He can do it again. For YOU.

Keep believing. Keep pressing in for whatever you’re asking Him for. He’s faithful in an uncertain world. You CAN be certain of this…trust in the One who will supply ALL your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 🙌🏽 and that’s the Word.

Following tradition, I challenged the Williams + Molina Family, to do my favorite reel.

This is how we can remember the faces, the smiles, the laughter, the house, the beach, the environment.

We will treasure each day, every ocean memory, all the meals, the conversations had.

I love this crew. These are my people. We are family.
