Getting back to my Bézier curves with this one! 🐛 These garden critters started as a pencil sketch, then were digitally hand drawn using my Mac trackpad to connect lots of little vector points and curves. I’m often drawing with a pen on my iPad these days, so it was fun to switch it up, thanks to a prompt by Liz Wain. The end result is this spunky card for @traderjoes in collaboration with @wainsworldlicensing ! Hope you can find one near you to brighten someone’s day. ☀️

Last day of school here! My kids are genuinely sad to leave their teachers again this year. I think that speaks volumes, and every time I set foot in their schools I wonder how these teachers do it (while staying sane). THANK YOU TEACHERS!! You are amazing and we appreciate you so much. ❤️

Excited to see this bookmark card, pencil pouch, and adorable highlighter set come to life. The little pencil zipper on the pouch is the best! 😍 Licensed through @wainsworldlicensing and sold at TJX & Marshall’s.

Have a bright start to your summer all! 😎

Excited to debut my new collection, Charlotte’s Garden, at @licensingexpo May 19-21! Licensees, if you’re at the show please visit Liz Wain @wainsworldlicensing at Booth D123 to see my full collection, plus art from our other super talented artists!

Charlotte’s Garden was inspired by the cheerfulness of springtime, charming tales of garden fauna, and dreams of the quaint English countryside — after admittedly binging on English period drama series this past winter…

These are a couple mockups of how I imagine my art coming to life! 🌸🍓🐇

Gosh this might be one of my most favorite licensing projects yet, and the girls’ too! It was such a pleasant surprise to receive these samples in the mail. For years I’ve dreamed of making my own wrapping paper, but the manufacturing costs and shipping made me hesitate. When I illustrated these sweet Christmas characters and icons I was dreaming of them on wrap. And now this sweet gift bag with the darling wooden Santa tag is the cherry on top!

I hope these bring lots of cheer to many young and old in the upcoming season, and you might find some in a TJX near you soon! (Probably sooner than later if it’s anything like Halloween decor! 🫠)

Shoutout to @wainsworldlicensing for helping guide me through this pattern art!

We L❤️VE our teachers!! My girls told me they missed school the very first day of summer break. If that’s not a testament to their great teachers idk what is! (And that they’re already over mom?? 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Drawing this fun school pattern brought back lots of nostalgia, and I love how this sweet notepad and pen set came together through @wainsworldlicensing ! I hope they bring joy and gratitude to lots of great teachers this year! 🍎✏️📓 by @joylarkstudio

Today is rare disease day, and among these is childhood cancer. A mere 4% of federal funding for cancer research goes to pediatrics. Recently some amazing medical advances in treatment have been made, and we can do so much more. When you think of all the potential years ahead for these patients, it’s unnerving that much of the research is funded solely by philanthropy. We can all agree these kids deserve to live their fullest lives with better treatments and less side effects. They’re not simply mini versions of adults with cancer, so the research done for adults often does not directly correlate. Thank you to those helping to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer needs through organizations like @llsusa @nationalpcf @alexslemonade @childrensphila @stjude @stbaldricks just to name a few. 💛 by @joylarkstudio

It’s been quiet on this account! I’ve been trying to be more intentional with my time and taking things slower this year. I’m thankful for the pause here and hope it will bring more clarity and creativity. And thank you for responding with support regardless. I hope we can continue to genuinely connect through the ebb and flow of this platform and elsewhere.

Hopefully you’ve all had a very happy Thanksgiving with lots to feel grateful for today! 🤍

The art in this post is part of my licensing portfolio. Swipe for a second colorway, because I can never decide on just one. 💁🏻‍♀️ by @joylarkstudio
