On opening night of the Our Lady of Salem Shelter for Women we’ll be performing jazz and golden age classics, sharing music we love for a ministry we love. The shelter provides radical hospitality to women experiencing homelessness, offering a safe place to sleep, eat, and fellowship during the coldest months of the year. Tickets available at the link in bio.

Join us November 15, 2025 at either 2:30pm or 7:00pm and enjoy an intimate evening of jazz, food, and drink at the home of New York Times bestselling author, Charlie Lovett. Featuring Joyner Horn, Soprano; Eric Powell, Baritone; and Robert Matthews, Piano.

A silent auction, including tickets to @piedmontopera’s Carmen, original artwork, and more, will also be held.
100% of proceeds will benefit the shelter.

If you would like to donate to the auction, or provide food or beverage, please message me.

$50 suggested donation. You can donate before the event here: https://sttimothysws.org/homeless-shelter or the evening of the event. taken in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by @joynerholtzen

Having an absolute blast here at Des Moines Metro Opera, stepping into the role of the Rooster in Janáček’s “The Cunning Little Vixen”. Special thanks to @vitatzykun and @makeupwigstress for their hard work and incredible talent on this costume! I’m constantly stunned by how brilliant it is. #actor #operasingersofinstagram #opera #czech taken in Des Moines Metro Opera by @joynerholtzen

Raise your hand if you know Tom Lehrer!

I first heard this piece when a dear friend programmed it on her masters recital. I became obsessed with Tom Lehrer and his body of work — a brilliant mathematician, musician, satirist—you name it and he’s done it. If you haven’t heard his work, check him out! As always, so grateful to Caroline Barclift Hayes, the Martha Bassett Show, and Piedmont Opera for this brilliant event!
