The first song of #SumoDidi…this was composed way back in 2023..we were looking for a powerful slightly unconventional voice when our composer @diptarkabose shared a Bengali song sung by @ananyachakrabortyy …myself, @blitzerisk and @akashaagaya loved her voice and thought she was perfect for the fantastic lyrics that @author.nikhil.sachan had penned for the film. I remember people telling me at Tokyo and Palm Springs festival, how powerful the voice was…now the full song is out on Zee Music…do have a listen, hopefully you all will love it as much as we do🙏🙏…#SumoDidi is premiering on Hindi Zee5 on 23rd of this month. @freshlimefilms @math_entertainment_network @officialjiostudios by @joysengupta04

We chanced upon the story of @sumodidi_official (Hetal) towards the end of 2019. @akashaagaya and I knew this is a story that HAD to be told. Along with our partner in crime @author.nikhil.sachan and #AmitChandrra we started developing the story.
With the script ready we did the rounds of various studios. Finally we met @tejkarran who loved the story and took it to #JyotiDeshpande of @officialjiostudios Jyoti heard the script and immediately decided to back it. It wasn’t an easy decision since we wanted a new face to enact Hetal’s role and since the film had to be shot across India and Japan, it required substantial production budget. But Jyoti and her team backed us completely. In fact had it not been for her team members our Japan schedule, planned just after COVID would have never happened.
With the budget in place we got our director @blitzerisk on board. From then on we all worked as one team to ensure that this outstanding story is presented in the best way possible.
#SumoDidi premiered at the prestigious @tiffcom_tokyo to rave reviews. The film then travelled to #palmspringsinternationalfilmfestival where it featured in the Best of Fest. The film also showcased at #newyorkindianfilmfestival
After travelling the globe the film is now ready for its India premiere on Hindi Zee5. I hope our film gets the same love here that we got in international markets.
This film would not have been possible without the support of @mukerjeeindrani @bali.tarunkumar @onlytaranbajaj @amarmangrulkar @diptarkabose our editor Dev, @sakpal.ninad @agrawal.akash85 @sohrab_bozorgchami and the huge support we got from our friends from Japan, Anshul @kowatanda, Mina @mina_chaumo Yamashita San @taka_yamanfilms and each and member of our amazing crew including the team from Kolkata @abhishek.bagchi1 Prantik, Arko and others. Last but not the least our amazing cast @shriyambhagnani @_slowcheeta_ @anubhafatehpuria Sato San, Late Nitish Pandey @raghavdhirr and everyone else for giving more than their 100%. Grateful to all 🙏🙏 @freshlimefilms @math_entertainment_network by @joysengupta04
