Discovered a cafe on lake side road..opened by a coffee cultivating family from Kathmandu...my middle school stomping ground....coffee plantation in Kathmandu is a rare occurrence.. but the passion to grow & brew & experiment is real...hence the cafe...apart from excellent variety of coffee, it serves, excellent Nepalese food too...I needed the caffeine strength to pull through a night shoot, which started at 6.30pm in the evening & went in till 8.30am next morning....if that wasn't enough, i had already fixed a long awaited dubbing of a film i completed , 2 months back.. & then it was time to catch a gentle literature in images,..I was a litterature student & Victorian novels was what my father introduced me to earliest..so loosing onself into the painterly world of sisterhood , grappling with fiery emotions & expectations , at a time when women were to be loved & regarded but never given equal rights...where the tree living youngest, the artistic passion driven middle & simple sacrificing noble elder , sisters, ride through trials & heartbreak with the togetherness, only to arrive at unexpected happiness...for people & places are never what you expect them to be...with that feeling one will gentle loose oneself to the world of zzzzzz by @joysengupta97

In The Ethics of Ambiguity (1947), Simone de Beauvoir argues that oppression is sustained not only through the power of those who dominate but also through the social conditions that make domination appear natural, acceptable, or inevitable. Through ideology, ignorance, social conditioning, and fear, people can internalize the values of the very systems that restrict their freedom. Oppressive structures become particularly durable when those subjected to them begin to reproduce their assumptions and hierarchies in everyday life. However, Beauvoir's argument is not about blaming victims for their own oppression. She recognizes that people do not possess equal freedom or equal opportunities to question the values imposed upon them. Her concern is with how domination becomes normalized and how the possibility of freedom can be obscured by social conditioning. The struggle against oppression therefore requires not only challenging those who exercise power, but also dismantling the beliefs and social arrangements through which domination reproduces itself. #simonedebeauvoir #oppression #existentialism #freedom #socialconditioning powerrelations ideology patriarchy emancipation politicalphilosophy criticaltheory socialtheory humanfreedom resistance ethics by @joysengupta97

A controversial remark by a BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh has sparked a fresh political debate in the state. The statement is being widely discussed, with political parties and members of the public expressing differing opinions. While some have supported the remark, others have criticised it. Here is what the MLA said that has triggered a political storm in the state. BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma, who represents the Huzur Assembly constituency, said, “The sun belongs to us and the moon belongs to us; now Muslims will also celebrate Eid only after asking us.” He went on to say, “If Lord Shiva retreats into a cave to meditate and the moon is no longer visible from there, celebrating Eid would also become difficult.” Sharma made these remarks from the stage at the Swadeshi Mela 2026, held in Bhopal. The event is being organised by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Swarnim Bharatvarsh Foundation from October 24 to November 4..... by @joysengupta97
A 16-year-old student has reportedly developed a device that can extinguish small flames using sound waves instead of water, foam, or chemical extinguishing agents. The invention is also reported to have won a gold medal at a competition in Indonesia. The technology works by directing powerful, low-frequency sound waves toward a flame. These waves create rapid changes in air pressure and air movement, disrupting the conditions required for combustion. Fire requires three essential elements: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Sound waves do not directly remove these elements, but sufficiently strong acoustic vibrations can disturb the movement of oxygen and hot gases around a small flame, causing it to go out. Researchers have been experimenting with acoustic fire suppression for years. In 2015, engineering students at George Mason University demonstrated a portable device capable of extinguishing small flames using low-frequency sound. One potential advantage of this technology is that acoustic systems leave no chemical residue and cause no water damage. This could make them useful in certain controlled environments, particularly areas containing sensitive electronic equipment. However, sound-based fire extinguishers remain experimental. Their effectiveness depends on several factors, including flame size, sound frequency, intensity, and distance. They have not been demonstrated as replacements for conventional extinguishers when dealing with major fires. The student's reported achievement highlights growing interest in alternative fire suppression technologies, although the inventor's identity, competition details, and performance results require independent confirmation. During May 2021 to October 2022, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved and formally initiated the strategic disinvestment process of IDBI Bank. At this time, Amitabh Kant was serving as the CEO of NITI Aayog (2016–2022), a government think tank that drafts national disinvestment policy frameworks. On June 26, 2025, shortly after stepping down from his subsequent public role as India's G20 Sherpa, Fairfax Financial Holdings appointed Amitabh Kant as its Senior Advisor to guide its long-term investment strategy in India. The rest is history. The question remains how much these regulators, policymakers, or senior bureaucrats stand to gain by transitioning into advisory boards of private entities that seek to acquire State assets? by @joysengupta97
